Default Apple Season is Here!

Next weekend the orchard where I buy my apples opens for the season! I can hardly wait.

Thinking about biting into one of those cruncy, juicy Gravensteins has me drooling....

I have 5 apple trees in my back yard. It is wonderful. But I sure see a lot go to waste and that makes me sad.

Oh Trish, I wish I lived next door. I'd take as many apples as I could and make things out of them.

I have fruit trees in the backyard too, but just planted them about 2 years ago so they aren't bearing much yet.

But all the fruit that's not fit for human consumption gets fed to my chickens, so none of it goes to waste.

I might be unusual but I usually have to make an effort to eat apples. They aren't my favorite but they do generally go well with other items such as cheese or peanut butter.
