toxic

So, more than just a clean diet I strive for a clean life.
The maintenance guy just came into our apartment to check out our tiles for re grouting and sprayed the **** out of my bathroom with some super bleachy tilex crap. Now my whole apartment is engulfed in a cloud of toxic stink.
Now I have to go in there and scrub the crap so he can grout it. There's just not a thick enough face mask for this job.:(

I have almost zero tolerance for household chemicals (because of the damage done by an autoimmune disease to my lungs). Liquid laundry soap is the strongest chemical in my house (and I wash my clothes in far less than the label recommends, like maybe an ounce. When my husband first saw how little I used, he asked "how are the clothes going to get clean" and I told him if there was a problem I would use more. It's never been a problem).

I'd recommend (if at all possible) opening all the windows, turning on the bathroom fan (if you've got one) and even the kitchen hood fan, and leaving the house for several hours.

I know I'm a little overcautious by most standards, but environmental polutants are far more hazardous than food additives. Some of these chemicals would never pass FDA testing today, but their use predated the FDA's existence.

This is exactly what I did!!:D Funny.
I just can't handle the stink of chemical cleaners anymore. To think that growing up they told us to spray our pillows with neurotoxins (Lysol) so they would be fresh when we slept. :(

ETA: I also use minimal laundry soap, you really just don't need that much. Most of my home made cleaners work way better than the chemicals anyway.
amazing.
