I just started my weight loss journey using whole foods and no processed crap. I had been on a downward spiral into Fast Food ****. I was buying double cheeseburgers and fries every day. Maybe for 2 meals of the day. Now I'm eating whole natural foods and feel amazing. I've only lost 2 pounds in the past few days but at least I'm not craving crap food, anymore. I'm currently in my 3rd week of my vegan diet. Yes, I have given up animal products of all kinds. I feel great.

I do look at other peoples carts and think to myself how sad it is to be eating that food, which I don't even want to call if "food" because its so over processed. Sad really.

I currently weigh 342 (highest was 344 or higher) and my ultimate goal is 150. But I'm only 5'2" so I really should be around 130 but I'll reevaluate my situation once I hit 150.

Congrats! Yeah it feels amazing. I don't crave food anymore. It's wonderful. I had a big problem with craving food, even if I just saw a commercial for something I'd have to go get it. Sad. But my life has turned around and I'm feeling very confident that I can lose most if not all of my weight.

Ah, some of us don't have the luxury of other than mainstream groceries. I live just outside a "city" of 5500, and there are two grocery stores - a safeway, and a Fred Meyer (Kroger). I can drive 15 miles and get a larger version of both, plus a Super Walmart. If I want ethnic or small, independent, I have to drive 50 miles. In the summer we grow our own fruits and veggies and I freeze them. I also have access to a 1xweek farmer's market for the things I don't grow. But still, we manage to eat 95% whole foods. It can be done.
