Looking for a granola bar recipe
Hi everyone,
I have to travel a couple of times coming up, and I don't want to get myself stuck in a situation where I end up eating plain salads for 3 meals a day (I'll be hanging out with my husbands friends, who are all 20-something boys, so I foresee a lot of pizza joints in my future). I'm thinking I can make myself some granola bars and pack them in my suitcase so at least I know my breakfast is taken care of, and I have emergency snacks. I don't eat refined sugar or white flour, but any real food ingredients would be welcome. Thanks in advance for any input! |

This recipe contains brown sugar though. I tried it once and it was really nice, far superior than those available in the market. I think most of the Alton Brown's recipe are fool-proof. |

This is my recipe:
http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recip...?recipe=428350 You can use whatever nut butter you like, and whatever combo of seeds / nut / fruit that you like. It's definitely not low-cal, but it's full of healthy fats and fiber. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3295/...01340eae_o.jpg Plus, they're damn tasty! |
