Roasting Turkey Help

Hey Ladies.

I am cooking one of those Butterball 4 Pound turkey roasts today. I just started it. It was still frozen so I am cooking it @ 325 degrees. I have covered it w/foil. Typically uncovered, the instructions say it will take 2.5 hours to cook. My question is though--if it tightly covered in foil--how long will it take. I do not have a meat thermometer.

Thank you in advance. Mary :)

It will take longer starting from frozen. Does the label tell you the time for starting from frozen? I suggest googling roasting time for frozen turkey.

By the way if the turkey is frozen, where is the package with the heart, liver , and gizzard ? Still in the turkey ?

It was one of those boneless things--actually pretty tasty. The package said, "freezer to oven" and the directions were INSIDE. Once I cut it open, it said to cook it for 2.5-3 hours! OMG! Wish I had known that before I cut into the packaging. Anyway, I turned the oven a little higher and wrapped it well in foil. It took about 1 hour and 45 minutes this way.

With it I made butternut squash with cinnamon and Splenda. I also made quinoa with cranberries and crushed raw almonds. All in all, a FAB meal. High on the starches probably but a rarity for us.
