old style juicer
Has anyone ever used one of these old juicers with the hand crank?
i have recently aquiered one, but had a hard time with getting the fruit pieces to actually get juiced. http://www16.pair.com/website/auctio...atgrassnew.jpg |
Do you need some sort of pusher to make the fruit go further into it?

Wow, I haven't seen one in years. I have a glass juicer that is a do it yourself thing that I love--it's really old and so much fun for orange juice or lemonade.

mare:
that's what i was wondering. i know they still make this style, you can buy it new, or i've seen newer models that are hand crank style. It didn't come with a pusher of any sort. i did see a picture of one in use where the food was cut into french fry size and shape pieces, maybe i'll give that a whirl. I thought of getting a newer style one, but they were so pricey. the one i got i found on ebay for $12 or so. but what good is $12 if i never use it.... i'd just like to do some juice fasts every now and again if i can figer out how to use the dang thing :) |
