Oh BTW! I LOVE trader joes!!

yes, i shop at TJ's about once a week, even though the nearest is a 20 min drive. they have some really good products at lower prices and good quality and that makes the trip worthwhile to me. it's always a treat to go there.
Plus my other fav store, the Anderson's is across the street and has great prices on produce. I can get 2 grapefruit for 98cents whereas elsewhere they're 99cents a piece. and there's a whole foods across the street where i go for a few specialty items i can't find elsewhere.
I only shop at the Kroger and Giant Eagle out of convenience during the rest of the week to restock on produce. Well, and for junk food which is a habit i'm trying to break.

anyway what i was going to post was a tip from a friend of mine to keep a head of romaine fresh all week: She seals it in a zip lock with the cut end of it submerged in a little water and stores it upright in the manner that it would be if it were still growing from the ground.:D
