Newbie here, starting again for the last time!

Hello everyone, I am once again starting the WW program. I have to lose over 100 pounds. I just had a baby in March and although I didn't gain anything while I was pregnant, once I was nursing , it came on quite easy. I have 2 older kids ages 13 and 11 and I really don't want to rely on them to chase after the baby.
Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and check out this great board!
P.S. I would love to find some local friend that I can meet and share with. I live in Washington State, in Kitsap County.
You know this doesn't mean I don't want to talk to just them, I would love friends from anywhere!:^:

Welcome back

And congratulations on your baby. Though I had much less to lose (I give you so much credit!), I have been so successful using the old WW bracelet (I just bought one on Ebay since they don't sell them at the meetings anymore). You move the link a bead for every point you eat; since you're actually wearing it all the time, you can't "forget" to account for something.

It's the best way to keep track of everything you eat and be accountable.

I'm also half way through "Mindless Eating" by Brian Wansink - I tell you, it's a life-changer and I highly recommend it. If only we ate only when we were actually hungry, heh?

Good luck -- stay in touch

Welcome! I'm new, too! Well, not really. I used to post here a long time ago under a different name, but since I am starting a fresh new weight loss effort, I wanted a fresh start with a name, too... :) I'm joining WW tomorrow morning! ACK! I'm excited but nervous at the same time. Looking forward to reading all of your successes and watching you become a big loser!

I have over 100 pounds to lose too!

Hello and welcome! I have been looking through all of my MANY diet books :dizzy: and decided that I am going to do WW because it's all about portion and boy do I need portion control.
I live in Washington State - in Des Moines - (King County) but would love to cheer each other on and support each other on this journey. I spent A LOT of time in Kitsap County near the fairgrounds (with my grammy) when I was growing up. I love it over there. I can't believe how much it has changed!!! We were just in Silverdale a few weeks ago and it seems like everytime I go over there something NEW has been built!
Congrats on your new bundle of joy! I have a 20 month old that keeps me HOPPING all day long ha ha.

Welcome newbies! Hop on over the Supporting Each Other on Our Weight Loss Journey thread if you get a chance; I post there regularly, and it seems like there is always a lot of activity there.

Monchichi-Congrats on your baby! I have a 4 yr old and a 20 month old. Between being a sahm and going to school (double majoring in pastry arts and pro chef...how is that for trying to lose weight?!) I keep incredibly busy. I have struggled with weight my entire life, losing 100 lbs in high school, only to gain it back when I got married and then pregnant. I've been trying for the last 5 years to get it all back off (in between pregnancies, of course.) This time around I'm doing a different approach. I am only focusing on short term goals. My first goal ends Christmas; I have lost 15 lbs and have 11 more to go. It think it has been so overwhelming in the past to think OMG, I have HOW MUCH TO LOSE?! So that's why this time it's baby steps. Also not dwelling on slip ups has been a huge help. I'm not perfect, and I need to let myself be ok with failing. If I have an off moment, I move on.

BluePapillon-Good luck at your first meeting...that first one is always so scary. I don't go to the meetings anymore (too much $ with only one income) but I am very strict with my weekly weigh in's.

Hope to "talk" to you all some more!

Good luck!
Paige

Welcome both of you!!! Find other threads that you feel comfortable in. Like Page said, the Supporting Each Other one keeps pretty active. So do the short term goal ones. Tell us how you're doing or what your struggling with and someone always has some great advice here. This is our mini-meeting support spot. Good Luck and keep us posted!
