New here with question
I am new here and wanted to say 'Hi'! My sister and I rejoined WW 2 weeks ago after much yo-yo dieting and trying all types of plans. I lost 3# the first week and my second weigh in is Monday - so wish me luck! Actually, I've been doing really well following my points and keeping track of my flex points. I haven't started exercising again but will be adding that in on Monday (at least that is the plan:) ) Anyhow, I have a question about POINTS. Does anyone know, or have some idea, of how many calories are in each point? I think I read somewhere that it's about 50 cal./point but I have no idea if that's true or not. I like the simplicity of counting points but I'd also like to know what the calorie equivalent is just to know. I am allowed 26 Points/day right now. I'm guessing that's about 1300 cal? Anyone know for sure?
Thanks in advance! advocatemom |

While 50 is a good average here is a good average chart that W/W advises is for each of the TargetPoints...
20 = 1150 21 = 1200 22 = 1250 23 = 1300 24 = 1350 25 = 1400 26 = 1450 27 = 1500 28 = 1550 29 = 1600 30 = 1650 31 = 1700 32 = 1750 33 = 1800 34 = 1850 35 = 1900 But remember this can be up or down based on fat and fiber and DOES NOT include the 200-250 calories a day that W/W built into the program for free veggies. |
Thanks for the welcome andrea, misti and kelly, and for the great chart with calorie info!! I have felt like I'm eating more than 1300 cal/day (at 26 pts) and now I know that I am, which is fine by me. I really haven't felt too deprived or bored with my points. I am actually eating very well and feel like I'm gaining some control over my eating habits - yea! Thanks again!
