caitlin do you do water aerobics too? i love it! i have a pool to go year round and i recently bought all new equp cost me a fortune! i bought 2 belts, bells, gloves, cuffs, a bar, and leg weights. maybe we can get new ideas from each other.....

I love water aerobics! I bought the weights but looked at the belt and thought no way. First off don't believe the "one size fits all" stuff unless you are pretty thin. I tried it and it was way too short for me. BUT besides that, I figured why on earth pay $30 for a few pieces of foam tied together. I am going to go buy a couple of noodles, cut them in small pieces and tie two rows of them together and get the same thing. :)

Another great water "tool" I use is a plain ole frisbee. Standing in chest deep water just leap up really high and toss it as high as you can. Then jump up as high as you can to catch it... or lunge every direction as it comes down, to go after it... falling is not a problem. This really gets the muscles moving!

i actually agree thats why i have a differrent belt. i dont mind the money but i could do w/o the shipping charges!!!

andreaphilip3 07-03-2006 11:02 AM

walmart has nood les for like 1 1/2 dollars.

Misti in Seattle 07-03-2006 02:06 PM

Actually the belt I tried on was a different brand too.

And yes, Walmart is where I get my noodles and plastic balls and stuff. :)

andreaphilip3 07-03-2006 07:01 PM

which belt did you use?

iu got my swim bar today now i just need my gloves and some healthy food

Misti in Seattle 07-03-2006 10:11 PM

My water weights are Speedo... that was the belt I tried on too.

andreaphilip3 07-04-2006 10:52 AM

im gonna go look at it b/c the aquajogger brand is really good and pretty cheap.

omg no wonder you hatyed it....those belts suck. the aj brand is made much better and different.

While speedo makes quality swim suits and other swim gear, aquajogger is THE name in belts and stuff. I am sooooo jealous of you girls with pools!!!!!

Misti in Seattle 07-04-2006 11:15 AM

Yah well I can see that it is better... but it is out of my budget. :) Besides for now I only have 4 foot water.

Misty, I can understand what you mean... I have not used our pool much in the four years I have lived here but this year I am wearing it out LOL... and consider myself SO fortunate to have it!
