Desperately Need Support!!

:( Frankly, I'm not doing too well. I lost about 11 pounds but then stopped going to WW (was traveling for work during the summer) and have gained 6 back already. This month was my 50th birthday and everyone has been celebrating it with me all month with food! I just need to get back on track and begin again.

There is ongoing stress in my life (doesn't everyone have that!). After years of living more than 100 miles away, my father, who is a dear, is now living with me and my mother is nearby in an assisted living facility. I am no longer just responsible for myself and my children (who are grown and out of the house).

I know I have to journal and keep within the points. I am going to do this on my own - buying a journal at the WW office tonight. Please lend my your shoulders to lean on and help me through this journey.

Thanks,

ArnaP

Arna, we're here for you...there's always someone to help. You are the only one who is in charge of what goes in your mouth. Start thinking now of other ways to celebrate without food being the main thing.

Glad you found us!

Desperately Need

I think you need to sit down and make a plan. A food plan that is. Plan you menu for at least 4 suppers at a time. Can your dad help out and do some of the shopping for you. How about planning some crock pot meals that will be ready when you come home for supper. What ever you fix, cook double so you can freeze left overs in serving size dishes for a meal next week. Make a large turkey meat loaf. When it is cold slice up enough for another meal, wrap that in saran and wrap another meals worth. Put the saran packages in a zip lock plastic bag. Insert a straw in the zipped up bag and s u c k the air out and slip the straw out. Chicken breast on sale this week. Make a meal in the crock pot and simmer the rest on the stove. When the ones on the stove are cooked, shred some and put in a zip lock bag in the serving size for two and chop some and put in a zip lock bag. Now you have several bags of cooked chicken for a casserole, chicken salad, quesidillas (sp) you name it. You can always quick thaw in the microwave. I'm sure you can enlist your dad to help. He will want to feel useful and contributing if he's capable. Let him be the dish washer, the vacumner, (men don't like to dust), the shopper, the errand boy etc. Find out what his favorite meals are and make them W W friendly and include them in your menu.

Make a plan and stay with the plan. Start small and build from there. If the first 4 day plan works, keep it to use again.
