Wow
7 lbs for your first weigh in that's great!

exquisitern 04-29-2006 08:01 PM

Thanks, I know a lot of it was probably water weight loss and my body adjusting to the diet, but I feel really good and motivated and I have stuck to my points, maybe using 1 or 2 extra every other day.
I really like the Weight Watchers plan.

hello all... had WI today....a bit down about it....I gained .6lbs....trying not to stress too much because i think TOM's lurking around. I know that's juat an excuse but when I look back over my different WI's I've gained up to 2 lbs the week before TOM. So I was kinda happy I didn't gain more. My resolve hasn't disappeared. I've journaled what I've had today and I've made menus for what I'm having the rest of the week. I've also set up an exercise schedule. My goal for the week is to keep to it. :)

Wish me luck!!!

Welcome to those who are new....congrats to those who've lost...welcome back to those who were gone for a while...

:goodvibes GOOD VIBES :goodvibes to us all for a great week!!!

Ms. Sassy 04-30-2006 05:10 PM

I know what you mean, Chrissy. That was my last week. My WIs right before my period always get me frustrated. Last week especially because I did a great job stying OP the week before. Monday I did not as well because I was back to work from Spring Break. Then weighed in on Tuesday and was so mad at myself for my bad Monday. I realized, though, that I was supposed to get my period the next day! So I let go of much of the guilt.

You say you gain a little the week before you start. Did you check back to see what happens the week after? I looked back at my trackers for the week of my periods and the week after. After my not so good WIs the day before, the following weeks I had really good/decent losses. But losses that I was happy with and made me feel better. Mine have been 2-3 pounds down the following week so that's what I'm hoping for Tuesday. Maybe if you look back, you'll find a trend that will get you un-bummed a bit.

I'm really hoping for a good Tuesday, though. My last week loss was so little that my trackers didn't even move! My poor Memorial Day tracker is still stuck there and I've only got 5 more weeks to get it down! I've got 10 pounds to go here and I need to get that thing moving! Cross your fingers for Tuesday!

Checking in

W/I went well on Saturday... down another 3.6 so I am getting closer to the MD goal!

I hope everyone had a great weekend, I have to run for now but will stop back in later on to catch up and see what has been going on over the weekend.

Great job
I am a bit nervious for WI tomorrow
I have had a migraine for a couple days - I stayed within my points but didn't walk for 2 days - then my daughter went to state for Choir and I didn't get to walk that day. (BTW - received an excellent rating at State)
I will update tomorrow after WI

exquisitern 05-01-2006 12:19 PM

I had a fairly good weekend. One bump in the road Saturday night, but otherwise stuck to the points. I walked 3 1/2 miles yesterday and hope to walk this evening if it clears up. I have weigh in on Thursday.
Good luck to everyone.

chaarli 05-01-2006 09:36 PM

having a great week so far.
I'm walking heaps and making good choices for my food, I've had a loss already which is great and motivating.

Chrissy1175 05-02-2006 11:20 AM

Thanks for the encouragement, Ms. Sassy. I know I’ll have a nice size loss after TOM leaves but sometimes I ‘forget’ that. It’s nice to be reminded. I’m still hoping to meet my MD goal. I know it’s over 13 lbs but I feel I can do it if I just work at it. I’ve been journaling (which I’ve slacked off doing for the last few months, regularly) and I’ve been working out. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you today…hope your WI goes great!!

Princess, congrats on the loss. Just a bit more and you’ve got your goal!!!

Sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling well, Julie. Hope you’re feeling better! Hopefully you’ll have a good WI and you’ll feel better in spirit if not in body. (BTW- congrats to your daughter on her score!!)

Exquisitern, glad you had a good weekend, even with the bump. Are you walking to train for a 5k or something or do you just like to walk? Also do you always walk outside or do you walk on a treadmill or at the mall or something? I’ve been walking on a treadmill at home and wonder if I wouldn’t benefit from walking outside. We’ve got a nice walking track outside at one of the parks here and I’m thinking about doing that once or twice a week. I’m thinking the change would be nice.

WTG, Cryket!

Charrli, I’m glad you’re having a great week. Are you training for anything too or just like to walk? What about your routine? Do you always walk inside/outside or do you change it up?

I guess I’d better get back to work now. Hope the day goes well for us all….good vibes to us all.

Hi Chrissy,
I walk outside. It has been totally beautiful here the last two evenings. They have several nice tracks where I live that are posted how much for walking 1 track, so it makes it easy to calculate. I take my daughter and she rides her bike with her friend while I walk. I walked 1 1/2 miles last night, before I had to really go!!! lol and there was no bathroom at the park I was at!!! So I had to cut down, because I had planned on doing 2 1/2 miles.
I wish I did have a treadmill, but I really don't have anywhere to put one. It would be nice for winter and when it's hot in the summer.
I'm just walking to increase my metabolism and burn calories. I weigh in on Thursday, so hopefully all this walking has helped.

exquisitern 05-02-2006 11:52 AM

Also, congratulations to you Chaarli on keeping up the walking and seeing a loss!!!!!!!! Woo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!

Ms. Sassy 05-02-2006 07:47 PM

I'm down 1.4 this week. Not as much as I'd hoped but at lest that stinking tracker will move a bit. With a couple not so awesome weeks the past few, I'm a little worried about meeting the Memorial Day goal. I'm really going to have to buckle down.

chaarli 05-02-2006 09:32 PM

I was just walking on my treadmill but now I walk on the treadmill and walk to and from my kids school each day and also try to go for a walk outside 3-4 days a week.
We are coming into winter here so it's starting to get colder but luckily the city I live in doesn't have a huge amount of rain so hopefully I'll be able to keep the walking up.

buffalosister1 05-03-2006 12:35 AM

Hello everyone. Hope you have all had a good week. I am checking in after my weekly weigh in as I said I would. Good news tonight. I lost 4.4 pounds this past week. It was like starting over again. I think that is why I lost so much. I had a few bad weeks prior to this. So, only 5.6 more to go to make goal. At that point, I will also be at the lowest weight since I met my husband. Wow, I guess he has a surprise coming, because I don't plan on stopping there. :o Good luck to all of you over the next week. I will check in next Tuesday. ---Amy
