Default 12 Week Challenge Wk # 5 July 16 - 22

WEEK # 5

UNBELIEVABLE

Hey there Weekly Challengettes. Anyone clueless about this thread check out the early prior 12 Week Challenges... and join the fun!

After such a "noble" last week. My resolve late last Sunday, Mon. and Tues. seemed to be faltering a bit. So I'm putting this up now to really track each day's progression...and keep in touch with you all. The help and cheering for me and the others just really psyched me up. LET'S DO IT AGAIN. The inspiration and connecting are just amazing.

How have you each done since the beginning? Notice any new trends? What's been helping you? What reachable goal / reward is worth focusing on for the next week and the next 4 weeks?

Update - I want more energy...fit into black jeans...stomach firmer... "hot" in my bathing suit. Reward for getting through this weekend - a new book

August Reward: sexy summer outfit - just bought it this weekend (7/21)

I am having a terrible time! Any encouragement would be appreciated! I gained.8 last night. I know that that is negligible and could be a lot of things. But the problem is, I weighed that much 14 weeks ago and I just have lost and gained the same 2 pounds for 3 months! I am having a really hard time staying motivated and I am wanting to quit. However, this is not like me and I don't really want to quit. I only have 5.8 pounds to lose before I get my goal. I am going to train to be aleader in September and I have to lose it! Also, we are trying to have another baby so I am trying to lose the last few pounds before I actually get pregnant! My hubby says I have been really negative lately about everything and that is unlike me as well. I am trying to be more positive today. Wow, it's not working very well is it? Thanks for your support-it's great to have feedback!

Hang in there Chee:

I'm on the threshold of wavering as well - maybe we and all the others can help ourselves. I have some thoughts but - how about I email em to you directly and we can brainstorm and then post what results?

We've all been there, and are there with ya now...although that may not make ya feel any better today.

I find when you are that close to goal the body seems to resist even more. Mine did. I think it took me about 6 months to lose the last 5 lbs to goal! I was really pissed and upset during that time. All my friends commented on it. Also summertime can be tough with more weekend eating and a mindset that wants to play. It sounds as if you are being really tough on yourself. What have you done for (just) you lately?

Just wondering... backing up four plus months... were you doing anything differently that caused a weight loss?

Chee,

I think you are just plateauing ("just" ). Continue to do the right thing and the plateau will break. in the meantime, you'll be eating healthy and doing good things for your body.

What will quitting get you after all? And by quitting do you mean going back to an unhealthy lifestyle and way of eating? I didn't think so. So...when you think about it...you really have no choice but to continue to do good things for yourself. And don't depend on the scale to tell you that you're moving in the right direction.

GO CHEE GO!!!!

Default WEEKLY REVIEW FOR THE MONTH

After gaining 14 lbs back from my ideal goal wgt. (130 to 143 ugh)... I was depressed but finally got determined to turn the tide. I thought I was "doing it" watching points, sometimes writing it down, sometimes not, etc. But, it took me much longer to really get rigorously back on Program, more than 2 months (April, May into June). It wasn't until my WW leader gave us the 12 Weekly Challenge that I started to pay real attention. And even then, it wasn't until I got together with you gals 6/18 online and posted daily and weekly that I really made a dent.

Here's a thought... I just put my weeklies next to each other - it was an eye opener for me.

Anyone interested in posting theirs??? It really woke me up.

Pre "Online Challenge" my weigh in is on Mondays.
6/4 - M 22.5/T 24/W 26.5/Th 24/F-43/Sa 37/Su 37 (142lbs)

Thanks for the attaway, Myra .

Way to go on your loss as well - you are really doing well & seem to be really committed to getting back to your goal. It helps to have "teammates" all working toward a common goal.

patch - thanks for starting this up - who knows, maybe I'll actually enter the world of the wonderful 130's (or at least 139.8 for 1 week... )

Later ladies-

Okay, ladies, I'm in! At least for the next 7 weeks. Today is my first weigh-in in several months. I know I have strayed. Like patch, I expect to be more than 10 lbs over goal when I weigh in. So, I am going to start on this Challenge today, get a 12-week journal at the meeting, and hop right in. So glad to know there are others dealing with the same situation. Congrats on the recent losses!! I'll be back to post after lunch with the true status on how much I have to lose. Primary goal: be back to goal weight and in good shape next summer for my 20-year high school reunion, and do it in a HEALTHY manner. No diet pills, etc, just grit, determination, healthy eating, WATER, exercise, WATER, and discipline. I think disciplined thinking is probably the area where I am most lacking - keeping "focused" on what the long-term result of my eating choices will be after the moment. For me, I think this is really the key.

Thanks for the invite, LM!

Katie - 144.6 is amazing. Incredible! To be under official goal and still be losing is really tough and you're doing it. We're all very proud of you.

Hey there AustinGal - just wonderful to have you here.

The support this group gives each other is just incredible. It's really helped to be able check in with all of you. And when needed "kvetch"/whine, question, voice concerns and fears and frustrations.

And let's not forget how good it feels that when ya do make a breakthrough no matter how "small" - even "just" maintaining, which is a huge thing - or trying a new exercise / recipe, that we're there for each other - on the same page... giving and getting the same wonderful interest and support. It's addictive

For me discipline is important, but I found I could not get "disciplined" - especially on the weekends when I seemed to undergo a brain freeze - until I really wanted the weight off more than that pasta with cream sauce, etc. Checking in daily and weekly with the gals has given me the leverage and motivation I lacked by myself.

Hi everyone! I'd like to join in! This may be just what I need to find my motivation again. I've been struggling lately with keeping my journal and making sure I get my water in and my weight is reflecting that...I was up this week, down the week before.
