I think that about sums up the confusion that this makes me feel.
I really do not know if anyone is out there on the ether.
What is wrong with me that I am so illiterate on the computer?
Is it the same thing that stops me saying no to chocolate!!!!
Is it really simple? Is there a guide?
I can get so far and no further.
I honestly think I could loose weight if I could communicate

First, the truly computer illiterate people are the ones NOT trying to figure this out.... so pat yourself on the back. When I first started I was lost too, everything seemed very weird, and I'm a Computer Systems Analyst... You are doing fine.

I don't know if there is a guide but you are already well on your way. When you click on a thread you will see all the post that we have placed out there. Once inside a thread, (which is what you created twice) you can click on "NEW REPLY" and add your own post.

Don't be intimidated. Keep trying, it's really the same with weight loss, you can't give up, you must keep at it, even if you mess up 1, 2 or 100 times.

today, was not very successful on the dieting front,
however, on the plus side i have managed to join a forum
and received replies
and there is always tomorrow.
i still find it confusing but now i have a way of asking
how to work around the system.

Today has been a success i have stuck to the diet.
Knew I could do it.
Think I might go to bed early, would have a bath,
but do not trust myself.

Lauren - how did you post your photo - beside your messages?

Trilby, putting your photo in there is definitely advanced-user stuff! I'll try to tell you how I did it, but I'm not guaranteeing anything (because I've mostly forgotten how). At the top of the screen there's the word "profile." Click on that. A new screen will come up. On that screen, at the top, click "Edit options."

On the new screen that comes up, scroll all the way to the bottom. You'll see a button that says "Change Avatar." "Avatar" is the word they use for those little pictures that go under your name.

When you click that button, another screen will come up displaying a bunch of pictures you can choose from. You can click the little circle next to one of those, if you like. Then scroll to the bottom and click the "Submit Modifications" button.

That's it!

If you want to use a picture of your own (like I did), then it's a little more complex. Let me know if that's what you want instead, and I'll walk you through that.
