Hello :)
am I in the right place? I'm a lifetimer gone bad:o I just went back to WW on Tuesday evening. I finally feel like it's the right time to do something (meaning I'm able to commit now, 100%!) |
Melissa, congrats on the loss. Man, I'd take any loss at this point! I didn't know that Berghoffs was closing--why? How did you do at the wine and cheese? Cheese is a red light food for me, too.
It's a little chilly this morning, but not as bad as the weatherman predicted. lala, nice to hear that you have crocuses. I planted some petunias and they're doing well. |
Welcome Renee! Feel free to join in--we talk about our struggles, frustrations, victories, etc.
Lisa: I read on the Berghoff site that the owners are retiring and that there is no one to take over the business. The daughter has a successful catering business which will use the restaurant location. It will be missed! Anyway, I did extremely well at the wine & cheese--I had one glass (small) of merlot and just 2 thin slices of cheese, a couple of sun chips, and a cracker! Woohoo! Cheese is a red light food for me--I talked with some people and so it worked out nice. They're planning another reception prior to a performance of Cats here at the university. It should be fun. I'm hoping I'll be able to attend. Well the temps have rebounded this morning--high today is supposed to be 48! Yesterday it was freezing and only in the 20's. The weather is crazy! Unfortunately, no flowers blooming here. |
Hello again :)
I have to say that after only being back on 3FC for a few days and back to WW as well, I'm feeling very confident! It is so great to have somewhere to go where you know someone out there can relate to you! |
Hola ladies and a welcome to velveteen...
Sitting around waiting for my cleaning diety to show up so that I can take him to my parents condo to clean...I wish he was cleaning our house today, but at least the condo will be clean when we take it over next week. Melissa - whoo hoo on the cheese and wine control. I'm proud of you. Lisa - I found my first few little dwarf irises blooming as well today. Lovely purple ones. I also found a tiny snail on my hellebores, so after I took a pic of my victim, I killed him. I hate snails, even with garlic and butter. I love petunias, they have a smell that I really like, especially the dark purple ones. Okay, so yesterday in seminar, I fell asleep for 10 minutes. I am soo embarrassed, the lights were low, she was lecturing about a chuch that was built on top of a temple on the capitoline hill and showing slides and boom, i went down. I'm going to never live that one down. I guess maybe i need caffeine once a week. :o Anyways, came home and didn't go right to sleep and this morning I'm exhausted. I did manage to stay in my points and exercise and drink water, so I'll take it as a gold star day. :) Anyone have any exciting weekend plans? Hi to Susan, Pam and Austin. |
Welcome, Velveteen. We're here to help.
lala, you fell asleep! You must have been so embarrassed. I have felt like I was going to do that a couple times, so I leave the room and pretend that I needed a restroom break. Oooh, irises--they're so pretty. Yuck, snails. Congrats for being OP. Melissa, you did good at the wine and cheese! Your weather has been variable, hasn't it? Yesterday I had the worst afternoon regarding food cravings. I was OP all morning and lunch. Then about 2:00 it hit me. I was looking for something to eat! I ate an apple and thought "I'll be all right now." Then I was hungry again. I keep some rice cakes in my desk drawer, so I ate a few of them. Still having cravings. I drank some water. It was very frustrating. Finally I got to go home and I made a great Weight Watchers recipe, Chicken and Ziti Bake. After I ate some of that I was satisfied (finally). I just can't stand when that happens to me. God knows what I would have done if folks had cakes and cookies in the office--I probably would have eaten all of it. I didn't get cast in the play I tried out for. The part I wanted went to a friend of the Music Director--oh well. There's another play I'm interested in that has auditions next month, a comedy. Off work tomorrow, so getting a massage. Then golf with DH. On Saturday, there is an outdoor art show nearby and then we're going to a play, Last of the Red Hot Lovers. Hello to Pam, Susan and Austin. |
Good morning! It's a balmy 54 degrees here this morning and rain in the forecast. Yesterday afternoon was absolutely gorgeous! Sun & above normal temps (29 is normal). I washed the inside of my car.
I wanted to report that I went to the exercise class yesterday (strength circuit) and had a good workout. I knew I was in trouble in the afternoon when my quads started to ache and traipsing up and down steps became a challenge  This morning I'm trying to keep moving so my muscles don't seize up on me! Anyway, I'll definitely go back for that class next week. Lala: I've caught myself nodding off at meetings like that as well; caffeine might be in order. No blooming plants here. Congrats on another gold star day!!! Lisa: I worry about February will bring in terms of weather. Sounds like you have a busy weekend planned. I feel good about my victory with the cheese, especially since it's a big time red light food for me. Velveteen: I always feel better once I get back on track--it's amazing how quickly things come back to you. I've been a WW member since 1/20/99 and have been a Lifetime member since June '99 so I'm celebrating 8 years of being a WW member. I don't have a whole lot going on this weekend--Sunday I'm going to the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days Kick Off--they're hosting a High Tea & Fashion Show so I'm looking forward to that. Other than that it'll be the usual stuff--cleaning, de-cluttering, etc. |
Hi ladies,
Beautiful sunny day here also, temps are close to 50.:carrot: Don't have too much planned for the weekend. I do need to do some cleaning, that's for sure. It's suppose to be nice out tomorrow too, but I'll hold off on doing any yardwork. Despite the nice weather nothing is blooming here and I'm sure we'll probably have more seasonable temps next week that will bring snow. Melissa congrats on your willpower at the wine and cheese reception! I love when the cancer society daffodil sale begins....it makes me think that spring is right around the corner. I think one of my jobs tomorrow will be to vaccuum the inside of my car, it has quite a bid of salt and sand on the floor. Lisa sorry you didn't get the part in the play, sounds like the music director was playing favorites:mad: I would love to go golfing this weekend...who knows if the weather keeps up like this maybe a few courses will open. Lala I'm embarrssed to admit that I've also nodded off in a seminar. I hate when that feeling comes over you, first your head feels heavy then you close your eyes for a minute and then the next thing you know your being jolted awake.:) I am also not a lover of escargot. Renee hi and welcome, sounds like your on the right track. Hi to Susan, hope you have a fun weekend. Well ladies I should get back to work. Have a great weekend and I'll talk to you on Monday. |
Hi everyone.
Quick type by right now. Everything is topsy turvy here. I just ate my lunch at 10:25 PST, so that sucks. more later... lala |
