My Morning Exercise Dilemma
My challenge this week is I need to exercise before I go to work. I have been on holidays for the last week, so I could pretty much exercise anytime. I know if I wait until I get home, I will find an excuse not to exercise. DH gets up at 5:45 am, so my goal is get up with him and exercise between 6 - 7 am. I can then wake the boys at 7:00 am, get them ready for school, then get myself ready for work (I leave at 8:15 am.) One idea is to pack lunches at night, get backpacks ready and breakfast dishes on the table. I'll let you know how we do.
If you have any ideas please share. |
those are great timew savers!
anythiong you can do the night bf will help you to be able to workout. how bout laying out everyones outfits? |
Yeppers I do most of that too and it is just DH and I.
I pack my gym bag (cuz we hit the gym on the way home), pack lunches, get our breakfast stuff ready (we usually do smoothies so I have it prepackaged in ziplock bags), have our clothes ready to go (although we don't lay it out we hang it in our closet) and get up at 5:00 to do my WATP tape. |
I think your plan is a good one. Women who exercise in the early am are more prone to stay with the program and will benefit hy the increased matabolism working all day. It is my personal preferance. I do weights mtw and toning tthsat and cardio every day. You will feel so good with the exercising done before your day 'begins'. Good luck. Alternating the program each day keeps it from becoming boring. I made cards and choose one randomly to alter the exercises each day.

Jan that is almost exactly what I do in the morning, except I have my kids make their own lunches. Breakfasts are usually things they can make themselves too, such as cold cereal, frozen waffles, toast and peanut butter, or yogurt. They are required to eat some fruit in the morning too. Good luck with getting up early, I know it is easier for me to get up at the same time as DH than to wait and try to get up after he leaves.

Thank you everyone for the support and suggestions.
This morning the alarm went off at 6:00 am, hit snooze (bad habit), got up before it went off again. I got dressed, in the clothes I layed out, grabbed my videos and weights and exercised. I woke up the boys, we had breakfast and waited around until the bus came. It was nice to have lunches already made and backpacks ready. Their was no one looking for anything, I wasn't rushing to get everything done before they had to leave, whch meant no STRESS:). Life was so much easier this morning, I will definately continue. |
Good job Winterstar!!! I always pack the lunches the night before and have everything signed and in their book bags. I don't have time to read notes and sign sheets in the morning. I also get dressed in my workout clothes and drive ds to the bustop. As soon as the bus comes, I follow along on my merry way to the gym. NO EXCUSES THEN!!! Aren't we such clever women!!
