Flexers Chat and Support September 1-30

Hi everyone,

I just looked and seen that nobody has started our flexers chat for this month so I thought I would .

Hope everyone is doing great and drinking lots of water.

I just went back to Weight Watchers last week so tomorrow will be my first weigh in........AGAIN  . I've been really good all week. I've stayed within my points, drank my water, and exercised every day. I should have a nice loss tomorrow. I'll let you know.

Hope your WI goes well, Kim! Mine was not so great... up 0.6. HOWEVER, I was not too discouraged, as our leader read out the "Labour Day Goals" we wrote about 2 months ago, and I was one of only a few people that actually made the goal! So, basically, I am still on track. So I will have to try to be good this week, and hopefully I will go down next WI.

nibs 09-03-2005 10:21 AM

Hi

Weigh in went great. Down 5.8 lbs YAHHHHHH!!!! I started out at 162.4 and weighed in at 156.6 last night :D . I am quite proud of myself for staying OP all week.

Gotta go now and get my walk in before I get too lazy

Wow Kim, what did you do so right??? Mind enlightening us :-)
Congrats on a fantastic lost for a week!!!!!!!

mauvaisroux 09-04-2005 08:40 PM

Congratulations Kim! :bravo:

I am going through a bad patch (weightwise) at the moment and I am going to review all the materials and start back on my morning exercise routine. I have set a mini goal for October so here goes :crossed:

sherry1215 09-05-2005 10:21 AM

Way to go Kim! :jig:
I am going through a rough patch too, I was up 2 pounds at my last WI. My only "goal" for this week is to write EVERYTHING down. I want to exercise, I want to eat all of my servings of fruit and veggies, but I need to start out with my most basic problem. Don't get my wrong I am going to TRY to exercise, etc....but I am going to concentrate on writing everything down first.
I think I mentioned this before, but I had to change WI days (from Tuesday to Saturday) I do still have the same leader, but it is difficult joing a new group. Have any of you had to do this?

mauvaisroux 09-05-2005 10:36 AM

Yep! I switched to a meeting that was closer to home. The first couple of weeks were weird but the leader was really nice. Unfortunately one month later he left as he got a new job that required him to travel and we got a new leader but she is really great too.

The group at first seemed to be dominated by 2 or 3 people who were the ones that always had something to say but I think it was partially due to them having strong personalities and the other members being shy. They have since left and the group dynamic has changed and is more even now. Some that never spoke up and now sharing ideas and asking questions though I notice only 3 of us will sit in the front row

I think in order to get the most of your meeting you need to ask questions and speak to the group to feel more involved - don't be shy, we are all there to lose weight and support each other. If you just start by smiling at people and saying hello it will break the ice.

Allie Abbott 09-05-2005 09:10 PM

I was having a rough patch, too. Shame on me...I was not journelling. :nono:

Well, I started jounelling again, and lo and behold, I am now losing again! Fortunately, I was just plateauxed, and not gaining. :write:

Awesome job with the 5 pounds lost Kim!!!! I hope my week will go as well!

mauvaisroux 09-06-2005 10:12 AM

I spent last night reviewing my WW materials to get motivated. I slacked off on journaling for the last few weeks so this is my first day back to square one.

I am also going to review one of the WW quick cookbooks as my life is about to start getting busier and I will need some quick meal ideas.

The good news is that my dance class starts up again on the 14th so I will be getting more exercise.

Here goes :crossed:

nibs 09-06-2005 12:00 PM

Hi all,

I guess we are all going through the same thing. I find when you lose your motivation it's really hard trying to get back OP.

I had a couple of times this week when I felt like saying screw this and wanting the biggest plate of fries I could get my hands on. All anyone had to say was come on and I would have eaten it. Luckly, Duane, my significant other, took control and I ate healthy and stayed within my points. Gotta love him for that. I may just be down again this week for that. I will ahve to reward him for it :s:

Anyway I better be getting for my walk now because I have to work again tonight so I'm running out of time.

Going to weigh in now so I'll let you know the results when I get home. Wish me luck.

Hi guys,

Not long back from my weigh in and I'm down another 5.6 pounds. :cb:  :dancer:

That's a total now of 11.4 pounds in two weeks. It seems like alot for two weeks but it will slow down alot now. That seems to be the way my body works.

It sure makes me feel good though.

TTYS,
Kim

good going Nibs! :cp:

I managed to keep my journal over the weekend which is a huge accomplishment for me.
I seem to be able to do well during the week and then it all goes out the window come Friday night :(

I know I could do so much better with my weight loss if only I could get the weekends under control.

Sister Mergatroid 09-13-2005 09:56 AM

I have that weekend journalling problem, too. For me, it's because I slack off on the weekends a little and even though I generally have enough flex points to accomodate it, I feel like I've failed and I don't want to see all that failure in my journal.

mauvaisroux 09-13-2005 02:43 PM

sister- eep! when you put it that way I can totally understand

My problem is that I get too busy running errands, socializing etc and then I forget. Then by Sunday I have completely forgotten what I had so then I don't bother...this is a habit I am trying hard to break.

nibs 09-15-2005 02:10 PM

Hi everyone,

I'm going to weigh in again tonight. I don't think I lost much this time. I stayed OP, exercised, and drank my water but it's not showing on my scale.

The week before last I was doing nights at work and I wasn't eating much so that's why I had such a weight loss. This past week I ate more but still within my points so I think my body caught up with me. Oh well, as long as I maintain.

I'll post tonight when I get home and let you know how I did.

Hi ladies,

I just got back from weigh in and I'm down only 0.6 this week. But a loss is a loss anyway you look at it. I'm now down to 150.6 so that's 12 pounds lost now in three weeks. Not bad if I say so myself. :smug:

Just wanted to let you know.

my new challenge

O.K., so my Labour Day Challenge was a great success. But since then, I have felt like I am in a rut, and I needed a new mini-goal. I thought about Thanksgiving (Canadian), but I wanted something a little longer-term. So I picked eary November, during which I am going to 2 conventions, at which I will be seeing former co-workers of mine. So....it's a wee bit selfish, ;) but I really want them to look at me and say "Wow, you look great!" To get this goal, I have to lose more than a pound per week, which is kinda where I've been at for the last few weeks, so hopefully this will motivate me to kick it back into gear.

nibs 09-20-2005 07:37 PM

Hi ladies,

I have been so OFF plan for the last five days it's not funny. I weighed in Thursday night and it's been down hill since then. I am going to get back ON plan as soon as I get up tomorrow and get this weight off. I had alot on my mind and food was helping me through it. So I thought but I have felt terrible ever since. It didn;t help me at all, made me feel worse if anything. Wish me good luck for tomorrow. I'll let you know how I do tomorrow.

Hi Everybody
Well weigh in tomorrow and I think I'm on the right track. I started last week to make a mini goal and need to keep reminding myself why why why

http://www.3fatchicks.com/weight-tra...150/176.4/.png
So I thought if I put it in writing I wouldn't forget.I would like to reach my mini goal by Nov. 12 for big party. That 7 weeks for 11 lbs not including what I lost???? this week (if I did) Wish me luck.

MINI GOAL

Let you know how weigh in goes tomorrow

bug37 09-22-2005 09:17 PM

Yes Yes Yes!!

YES YES YES I've lost

http://www.3fatchicks.com/weight-tra.../31.6/9.1/.png

Weigh in today I lost another 4lbs so for my mini goal I need to lose 8lbs in 7 weeks. I hope I'm not setting myself up for disappointment. My biggest problem is if people start telling me I'm looking good I will think that I don't need to lose anymore. Silly Silly I know but I do it ever time I'm losing weight. Need to remember my mini goal and not to stop 1/2 way through!!!!!!

Good work, Bug! Thanks for the encouragment. So far, so good. I was down 1.6 last week, and it looks like it will be about the same as that this week. I just needed to make sure I lost more than a pound per week, and this new mini-goal seems to be doing the trick.

We just got our yearbooks from last year (I work at a high school), and I now have some good "before" pictures. I used to avoid cameras a lot, but yearbook staff always manages to get a few shots of me. I never bothered to take a "before" shot when I started WW, I guess I didn't really think it would work this well. I wish I had, because sometimes I look in the mirror, and day to day I hardly seem to change, and it gets discouraging. But when I look at pics of what I was like before, it's like "WOW!!! I look so much better now!"

O.K, that sounded totally vain, but it took me a while to feel like I looked different, so if anyone else is in the same boat, THAT DAY WILL COME!!! and it will be an AWESOME DAY!!!

I bought a size 13 pair of pants. The last pair I bought was a size 18, and they now look like ridiculous clown pants on me. :woo:
