WW online?

Hello,
I have been considering joining WW online. Do any of you have experience with it? Can you give me some feedback on pos/neg of the program. I am currently rolling down the hill after falling off the wagon and I need to get back on track. Previously, I was doing the exchange program and eating 1500 calories/day. I am inconsistent with exercise....can't get over the hate...... Replies would be appreciated.

Hi Lynne -
I did use WW's online for about a month. I really loved their online tools, and the forums and the recipes, etc....but I fell off track pretty quickly without going to the meetings. Im now attending meetings and have made it 4 weeks without any major downfalls. Plus, as much as I love WW's, the online stuff is expensive! And I feel the same way about working out too....I did M, T, W I took off, Thursday I skipped and today Im going to force myself to do it so I get back on track.......

i agree-the meeting is key plus i think itscheaper. if u feel u can do it on yre own tho u can go to a 1 week meeting and get what you need to do it on yre own for like 20 dollars

There are actually several ways to do W/W:

1) (of course) meetings which depending your are range from $9-$15 a week plus usually a registration (sometimes there is a free period or depending on franchise only about 1/2 of the regular registration)

2) online - which you get everything you get at meetings but only online, you can print out blank journals and lists though

3) at home - where you (only certain areas) can order the package and you get everything from meetings as well as the Food and Dining Out Companions and Points Calculator (I believe)

Some people need meetings to be accountable and be successful and others don't.

There are many online forums (such as here) that can provide you the same 'support' session you need to be successful.

The only down side to the online and at home really is the fact you cannot be a lifetime member and quit paying when you reach and maintain goal like you do at meetings.

I've been doing the online WW's for 8 months now and have done really well with it (53 lbs lost!)

If you need to be held accountable by going to the meetings, then going to the meetings would probably be best for you (my dad is like this).

However, I think I've done well with journaling all of my food and exercise, and I really don't want to go to the meetings..

The online is about $17/month

Thanks for the info. My sister has the "stuff" so theoretically I could do it at home, but I think I'm one that will need to be accountable in person. I'll investigate when the times/money for the one in my town.
