Need low point snack ideas

  • I used to work day shift.. (8am-2pm) now I'm moving to 430pm-3am.. I used to eat HIGH point meals (my lunch was 10.5 points most days -- subway)...

but i need low point, easily packable, filling snacks that I can have for my shifts..

    any advice?
  • I find the most satisfying snacks have some protein. Lowfat cheese, edamame soybeans, yogurt--that sort of snack. Nuts or sunflower seeds are not low points, but if you prepack just the amount you want to allow yourself, they are very satisfying and good for you.
  • Two very portable snacks are fruit and veggies.

Laughing cow cheese and some crackers (2-3 points depending on the crackers).

Sugarfree, fatfree jello pudding or jello snacks.
  • Low fat yogurt - I freeze it and by snack time it has thawed.

Grapes, apples or pears with some low fat cheese,
    fresh berries,
cut up veg with low-cal dip ( use a freezer pack in an insulated lunch bag it you don't have a fridge),
    Ryvita with laughing cow cheese
    Granola bars
  • "Crunchers" chip-like crackers. You can have 24 chips for only 2 points, if you have a salty snack craving. Be careful, they sort of look like "Crispers", but "crispers" are many more points. The Spicy Thai is my favorite flavour. They are HOT and they make you want to drink a lot of water.
  • Freeze some grapes and bananas and mix with fat free yogart in a tupperware. I couldn't believe how yummy this was!
  • I really like Soy Crisps, 23-25 for only two points. They come in 4-5 flavors, and the zesty barbeque is awesome! Quaker granola bars are also 2 points, depending on the flavor. Also 94% ff microwave popcorn is good, especially if you have some seasonings to sprinkle on top for a different flavor.
  • "Ice cream" bars
I can't stand yogurt, but often want something sweet and cold, a treat that works well:

take fat free/low fat graham crackers, and break them up into secions, use a spatula and place fat free coolwhip in between them, like a sandwich, but don't squish it. Wrap it up gently in saran wrap and freeze for a few hours. It makes a tasty ice cream like treat, but it's only one or two points.

I"m picky as ****, but even I like it.
