Can't help myself. Have to add my 2 cents... The thing with gambling is that, besides the risk of addiction (wrecking life, family, etc.), you're not using your own money. It all belongs to God. Many believe that gambling is not being a good servant, steward of His money. I believe there’s a difference between poker and a raffle that is going to benefit someone/organization. I'm a very spiritual-based person, and while I don't believe gamblings okay, I have no problem with the analogy. Even if you don't play, everyone has a basic understanding of the game and gives them a reference point.

I also vote that it's probably up to the teacher whether the topic is going to be good or a dud. Not everyone is going to lead the same topic as well. Personality of the leader comes into play and if he/she likes the topic or gets creative with it. Some probably will seem dumb.
