  • Hope no one minds if I start the thread for this week. Hope everyone had a good weekend. I know Mauvaisroux had a BBQ.....how did that go? I had a rough night last night. Desperate Housewives was on (does anyone else here watch that?) and I felt the need to snack during the entire program. I wish I could say I was munching on carrot sticks but I can not lie.....it was celery. Okay, okay.....gummy bears.
  • Hi Sherry - were the gummy bears at least sugar free. lol?? Neal and I are SO addicted to Desperate Housewives! The story Zach/Dana's dad told was sure a different twist than I thought!

    Hi to the others!!

We had DD's high school graduation party Sat. night, and to help keep myself busy and away from the food, I took tons of photos and mingled with the near 70 guests. Also, gave away the food (such as potato salad) that would be too much of a temptation to keep around. Yesterday we went to 3 other parties for grads, and I knew the one other mom is a WW, so I ate at that one. Yay for salad and fruit!! Neal, however, ate at all 3, lol!

Today I have to admit I've done more resting than anything else. Hope you other WWs are having a good one!!
  • Well the BBQ was rained out so I managed okay I was out a lot on the weekend did pretty good until my mum put lemon loaf on the table at lunch on Saturday...

I also got in some gardening on Saturday before the rain came so that was about 3 hours of exercise there

I have weigh in tonight so we shall see what happens.

mmmmm....gummi bears and yes, the season finale was pretty good

Sherry- way to go on the grad parties that must have been tough
  • Well hurrah! I weighed in last night and managed to lose 2 lbs!
  • Had my first weigh-in last night, weighed in at 235.4 lbs. Trying for a 3 pound loss by Tuesday for my next weigh-in.
  • Well, it sounds like everyone is doing a good job this week! I painted my living room, dining room and a pretty long hall way at my house yesterday. This morning I ache in places that I didn't think were possible to hurt!
My family is throwing together a Memorial Day picnic, which I am dreading...lots of desserts and other high fat foods. Ugh. Anybody else doing anything for Memorial Day?
  • I'm having a cookout with friends for memorial day. The nice thing is is that the friends that are hosting it are on WW so we are really gonna try and keep the food OP. I am saving up flex points to cover the beers though lol. It should be fun.
  • We don't celebrate it up here in Canada but we had Victoria Day last weekend.

mkuhn- lucky you, that is definitely going to make the BBQ easier for you - have fun!

I am going to try to get some more of my back garden dug up and planted. The weekend is supposed to be rainy/overcast for the most part so I may work around the house to get some odd jobs done -my list of to dos is as long as my arm!
  • I'm doing fairly good...managed to walk about 4 miles yesterday even though it stormed for a bit.

Weighin isn't until tuesday, but accordin to my scale I've lost 4 lbs so far this week. Gonna try to get that magic 5 lb loss by tuesday. I still can't believe I'm eating so much {just started WW this week} and still loosing weight.

Aiming to walk at least 4 miles again today, which should be easy since I have errands to run that require me walking. Also gonna get my hair cut this weekend, which should help me lose a lil {every little bit counts, ya know!}.

Not reallly having an issue with it being the holiday weekend....but 4th of July with my parents here will be a problem.
  • Well, there are some people on my family who are trying to watch their weight, then there are those who SHOULD be but AREN'T! So, I found a recipe for a WW coleslaw that sounds good and I am also making the pop cake (Red Velvet with either diet sprite or Dr. Pepper) with a small container of ff cool whip mixed with sf/ff white chocolate pudding mix. My mom is supposed to bring the ff hotdogs. But, I will probably bring my own just in case......
Anyway, hope everyone (no matter where you are!) has a great, successful weekend!
  • Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Tomorrow is weigh in day for me and I am hoping to have lost a little

I did some walking on the weekend as well as gardening and some socializing that did not involve food
