Another Newbie..

  • Hi Everybody,

I joined WW last monday, and have much weight to loose. I had a great loss this week, 8lbs. I found 3FC and love it! I am hoping this will help me keep the motivation going. I hate having to think about points/food all the time but am scared to go with the core plan. If I had the disipline to eat when I was hungry and stop when satisfied I would not need to loose all this weight. I am trying not to get overwhelmed with how far I need to go. Right now all I am doing is concentrating on my 10%.
  • Hi Curvy
I am a Newbie too, just started back on the WW (I signed up and went to 2 meetings last year and got off track) So here I am determined to loose this weight. I have 100+ to loose, I've been counting my points for a few days and am getting the hang of it. I would love to hear any tips you might have. I too have just found this site it's so cool!! Have a GREAT day today!!!
  • Looking to really lose it.
Hi there Gram & Curvy. Mind if I join y'all? I am new to 3FC. I am 52 y/o dealing with Multiple Sclerosis and I have over 100 pounds to lose and sure could use a friend. Because of the MS exercise is difficult but I won't give up. I hope to form some solid friendships here as so many of the posts are open and friendly. I am also here to offer support to anyone who needs it. Hope to hear from you soon.
  • Hi!

You are welcome to chat with us! Have you been on WW b4? I am a WW failure a few times over, but not giving up this time.

I have too much to live for, and I am missing out on so much with all this extra weight I carry.

Beach...I don't know alot about MS, but I think there are differnt degrees of it. I am here for support too.
  • Hey girlies.....I'd like to join ya'll too. I have just started WW online. I cannot get my courage up to go to a meeting. I cannot weigh in front of anyone besides myself Although that is probally what I need. I have a long way to go and know it will take me a long time to get there, but having someone to keep me accountable, and someone to whom I can vent my frustrations will help ALOT! I have started the points plan, but am very initerested in the core plan, just have to find the time to really look it over (are any of ya'll on Core?).
I started the year off on Jenny Craig and lost 17 lbs on that plan......but after about 3 mos it got too expensive to continue, so that's why I joined WW. I am bound and determined to do it this time!!!!! I so long to be healthy.
To tell you a little about me....I am 29 y/o, married with no kids. I have been overweight my entire life, and I am Finally ready to do something about it.
So I look forward to getting to know all of you...if you'll have me!

    Thinking Thin,
    Jennifer
  • What a MAJOR step you have taken!
Hi Lots2Lose--Sounds like you have some serious committment if you've been successful since Januray! That's very impressive. Don't worry if you can't weigh in front of everyone now. If the time comes when you want to go to WW in person, that's great. If not, who cares? That's why WW offers so many options! Personally, I need the accountability of 'THE OFFICIAL WEIGH IN'...........otherwise I could 'forget' points, gains, etc. It's also nice being in the company of so many people who are struggling with the same problems. And yes, you may be the largest person there (I sometimes am), but you don't know the weights that the others started from!

Everytime I weigh in at WW, I'm afraid I'm going to smack the sweet little old lady who does the paperwork---not b/c she's mean or comments on my loss or gain, just b/c she knows how much I weigh........I KNOW it's not a rational thought, but who said I'm rational at Weigh in?

BeachCait and Gammatwo3---I'm so glad you are joining us too!

You guys should all join us at the post labeled 'new thread for all us newcomers' so that others can meet you too!
