QOTD -- how do you pull yourself up by the bootstraps?

I need your inspiration or share with us how you dust yourself off, pull yourself up and get cracking -- it can be weight loss, getting over disappointment, getting things done, etc...

This is a tough one lala. I had a lot of difficulty getting back on track this time. I think it's because I felt so awful physically with the extra 10 lbs on, and also mentally for allowing it to happen.

When I am at or near goal weight, I can normally pull myself back on track with exercise. When I get regular exercise, I am automatically more careful about what I eat. This applies to other things in my life too; if I make time for exercise, then I seem to find both the time and inclination to get other, less interesting things done.

I agree that exercise helps us all the way around. My DH always says that he solves all the problems of the world when he is out on one of his long training runs. Unfortunately, he usually can't remember what his solutions were! : )

I also pray a lot!

I journal. If I have a big project or just a list of mundane things I need to focus on I right down a plan and try to stick to it.
