WW Moms Check-in--Oct 24-30

Hi Moms:

I hope that you have a good checkin this week. Please let us know:

Make sure to drink your water; take your vitamins; eat 5 servings of fruit and veggies; exercise at least 20 minutes everyday; and have your milk!

I wish you luck and hope to read your accounts.

    Hi Moms:

I had a good eating week, not so much for the exercise. But, I didn't weigh-in Saturday, which would go in last week's post. As I was getting ds ready to go downstairs to the livingroom, he fell from the changing station. I had to rush my 11 mo. old to the ER. He has a concussion. I have been watching him all day, night, and day. I will be following up with his pediatrician tomorrow.

I haven't the urge to eat as much, which, normally, I would binge because of the traumatic experience. I am so fortunate that he is doing better.

So, my plan for the week is to (not drop my children from a tall height) exercise 5 times this week. I just ordered a Step video from Gin Miller, which is a new DVD. I plan to do the "Wendie Plan" by using my Flex points to increase my fruit/dairy/veggie intake. I never use Flex Points, unless for dessert and I might as well use them for healthier stuff throughout the day. I am also going to try to meditate for 30 minutes this week. I hope I can find the time. I need to destress without binging.

I hope everyone has a great week.

I did my weigh in yesterday and lost 1 more pound. Now I'm 204.

I did horrible yesterday and spent 13 flexpoints. I am going t behave the rest of the week. Try to get some exercise in and stick to some healthy food.

    Rosa,
Hopefully, you're not being too hard on yourself. I sat my DD's carseat on the hood of the car one time and it slid off with her in it. Talk about feeling guilty. They are very resiliant. I hope I said that right...I have a hard time expressing what's in my head sometimes.

    Chris:
Thanks for your experience and your kind words. You are very right; they are very resilient. They can take more than we can, but I still feel like the worst mother in the world. You know, I was a child protective social worker. I used to take kids away for much worse, but I for sure thought that I would get an investigator out to question me. I am such a loon! :dizzy: That work experience has caused me to be overly protective and cautious because your family life can be turned upside down for common events.

Congrats on your weight loss. A lb. is a good loss; even a few ounces is good. The point is to go down and not to go up. Stick to the goals that you have set for yourself. I wish you luck for the rest of the week until your next weigh-in.

    Rosa,

I know I felt awful when I accidently hurt my daughter. I felt like the worst mom too. I know that here if you take your child to the ER for anything, that the doctors are really cautious. When my second daughter was in for an ear infection, she had bruises on her legs, and they noted those on her chart. I felt like I was a suspect already. I'm sure they had to do there job. She was only 9 months old, but she had just started walking and the world was her's for the taking and she was a speedy little bugger. But along with the walking comes the falling and the bumps and bruises. The kid is 5 years old now and hasn't slowed down one bit. She was early on everything.

Thanks for the bit of encouragement. I see everyone having these 3 lb. loss weeks and my little one pound loss seems like nothing. I am so impatient and want big results and I want them fast. I guess I'm on the road though, even though the going is slow. I'm doing, instead of just saying I should...and that's something to be proud of.

    ~chris
