Today is my 2nd day....

  • and all I want to do is go into the kitchen and eat everything! How do I keep from it?
  • Sounds like you are bored! Get out of the house if you can. Re-read your Getting Started materials. Do you have any hobbies? Better yet, paint your nails!!!! Keep your hands busy (without food in them) and your mind occupied with other thoughts.

    This will pass, I promise you.
  • Some things to have when you have the insane munchies:

    * Hot, low-cal soups
    * Hot herbal tea
    * Raw veggies dipped in hummus
    * An apple sliced up, served with 1 Tb. peanut butter
    * Air-popped popcorn, or low-fat microwave popcorn - no butter! Try "Butter Buds" or 1 Tb. Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top
    * A hard-boiled egg

    Hot low-Point foods especially work well because they fool your stomach into thinking it got more

  • I imagine everyone is different, but when I feel like that I go and get a huge bottle of water (for me, preferably room temperature so I can drink it fast) and drink as much as I can. I feel full, and it really eliminates any cravings that I have.
