Okay,
Week 2 after plateau week and I lost ANOTHER 1.4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, what the verdict is, is that you have to hang on and the weight eventually comes off. Your body needs time to adjust to its new weight. I am in this for the long haul and I have to be patient. This is not easy but I know with this board and all of your support, I will make it to goal!! thanks, Fran:) 171/132/120 |
Way to go !!! Fran
Judging by your #'s you look Great!!! I'm trying to adopt your philosophy. I need to stick with it! Nicki 175/157/136 |
Nicki,
Thanks for the encouragement. I have had many weeks where I have lost .4 or stayed the same. it is frustrating but if you believe in the program as well as yourself, the weight will come off. fran |
Congrats Fran,
Sounds like you are doing awesome!! I typically get very upset after staying OP and then staying the same and sometimes even gaining. That is what took me off the program the last two times. This time I AM going to do it even if I have a gain. You are living proof that I should stick with it. :D You have done SOOOOO well! How long have you been on the program, and how long was your plateau? (hugs) Angie |
It's worth the wait!
Hi Angie,
Thanks for your words of encouragement. It is bit of a long story with my time on WW. I started in Jan 99 and lost 5 pounds only to quit after the small gains or stay the sames. Then I lost another 12 doing my own thing and some other fad diet only to quit again. i rejoined WW twice after only to quit again. Finally in April 2000, (a year ago today) I joined WW one last time. i was determined to make this work through thick and thin. I have been on 2 other plateaus. This one was 3 weeks long. They could be longer but you have to adjust your eating as well as your exercise plan. It can be slow but that means the longer the weight will be off. Make it work this time..through everything!! Fran:) |
Fran,
This is very exciting. Thanks for keeping us up to date. Way to go! It looks like you've broken your plateau. Good for you. It's great to be rewarded when you do the right thing for yourself.! 234/207/thinner |
Congrats, Fran! I looked below your name at your successful loss so far. Great job!
Your post is so encouraging for slow losers like me! Sometimes it's hard to hear others with 2-4 pound losses, and mine averaging .6! The scale numbers are going down, but patience is hard sometimes! |
Patience is a virtue!
MN- Hang on, Hang on! I wanted to quit but I was so sick of being heavy and joining and rejoining. If you stay the weight will go away..I know. It can be frustrating but this is a life style change and not a fad! You'll do it!
Itry- Thank you for your words. I need everyone's words and when I read your post, I felt like you have been with me through this struggle. Thanx!! Fran:) |
