meetings vs online questions

Hi. I am brand new here.
I would like to join weight watchers, but I need to know the pros and cons of joining online vs attending meetings.
If I join online, how do I receive a slide and/or other tools?
Can I go and join at the meetings for 25 dollars, and then join e-tools and keep e-tools for 12.95 a month without ever going back to another meeting? Or do they boot you from e-tools if you stop attending meetings?
What if I want to try online first, but then decided to attend meetings? Do I have to pay 25 to join, or does my online membership sign-up fee suffice?
sheesh! so many questions! I hope someone has the patience to answer! :)

Thanks,
Lisa

From what I know.....................On Line members are a completely different "arm" of Weight Watchers. The two cannot be "shared".

In Ky we charge $15 to enroll and the least expensive plan is $9.95 a week...you are allowed 3 misses without a charge. After 3 misses ( in a 6 month perid) you start paying for missed meetings. You are allowed to weigh in once a week but attend as many meetings a week as you deisre. We have 4 meetings a day 6 days a week. We also have a plan where you pay $13 and are not charged for missing. We encourage weighing in at least every 4 weeks.

Hope this helps you. We also allow guest to visit a meeting anytime but unless you have joined you can not hear the "Getting Started Session"

Hope this helps.Personally I would go for the meetings and support....PLUS the support you get here is awesome!

Thanks for the info!
Looking through everything, I can save money if I go to just one meeting and then join e-tools. If I join online without attending a meeting, I have to pay 2 dollars a month extra.

I might like to go to the meetings, but I would be more likely to stick with it if I had the convienience of the online service instead. It would be easier to not come up with excuses not to go?

Lisa
