Hello everyone. Thanks for all your info on the palms and for all your answers. I wanted to give you an update on my experience with the palm and weight watchers. LOVE IT!!!! I am having a blast with my new toy and all the WW programs I am using on it. I have imported a few thousand points values for foods, including restaurants, so that I don't have to carry all those darn books. I am calculating and tracking my points using the WW journal. I am also tracking my weight loss using weightlog and tracking my exercises daily as well. I have also listed all my starting body measurements to compare. What a change from carrying around my journal book, my restaurant and food companion and my other books with food counts in them. This is so much easier, it is all right there at my fingertips, and boy do I stay on the plan so much better now! I am having such a blast with this thing. If any of you are having trouble with all the stuff you have to keep up with, you really should think about getting the palm, I got mine off Ebay and it was well worth the investment.

Can any of you WW's out there recommend any good color palm applications? Thanks!

I am using the journal from whiteoak.

You mention that you imported few thousand points values for foods, including restaurants -- where did you find those?? Any help you can send my way would be great!

I bought a disk off of ebay that had a lot of it on there like weight log and stuff, but most of that is also free on the web, it just takes time to find it. You have to do a search on words like diet, exercise, weight watchers, points, food lists, nutritional, etc. It was just nice to already have in in unzipped form on the disk I bought, saves a lot of headaches.

My favorite sites for freeware are:
http://www.palmblvd.com/software.html http://www.zdnet.com/downloads/pilotsoftware www.palm.com

I got the ww journal at www.whiteoaks.com.

And Dottie's sight has links to many palm applications.

hi guys

recently found a link to this site on the UK WW site. I am interested in getting a Palm Pilot, as I think it may be easier than pulling out a tracker and a pen. Anyone got any advice.

Thanks

:D

Not only can you track, but you can calculate points and if you can find the lists on the shareware sites, you can download all your books onto the palm. It saves you from carrying around all thos books, which was my goal. Good luck,

Thanks for the quick response. I've just been searching on the web and have found a site for HealthTech PDA http://www.healthetech.com/

have you any experience knowledge, or do i just need to purchase a regular Palm Pilot

Sharon M 02-22-2001 07:44 PM

I have tried diet log and personally did not like it. And it is expensive. You can buy a PDA on your own (the m100 is $149 in stores and cheaper on Ebay) and download the WW tracker at www.whiteoaks.com free!

Thanx again - already found the whiteoaks website from your previous posting.

Very grateful for all your help and will look into the "normal" PDA a.s.a.p and get tracking. Personally I was dreading pulling out my tracker and pen in public places!

Sharon,

I just love having my WW info on my Palm also.

I keep all of my notes and my inspirational reading on it also.

Have you tried Documents to Go yet? I cut and paste information from posts to a word document and then load it on the palm so I always have everyones wisdom with me when I need it.

Thanks for the tip. That is one of the things I have to do on my list, put all my inspirational quotes somewhere. Is it freeware?

Walnan 02-23-2001 02:24 AM

Sharon,

I ended up buying the software - but I think you can download trial software to try before you buy.

BigFatBooty 03-15-2001 09:53 AM
