I did really well this week and had lost 4.2 pounds. Now of course, when I started I wore my shoes, and I took them off this time, (no fools in my family - well, there is DH and my brother, but that is another story). I know that means less of a real loss, but psychologically it makes me feel better and gives me incentive for the next week.

Well, congratulations to you!!! I think its weird to see how many folks read a post and how many reply :) I wanted to reply and tell you to keep up the good work!!

Just wanted to say I agree Forgiven. So many views and so few replys. What's with that?
Tryin' whatever you can figure out to keep you motivated, you go girl!! :)
Personally, wherever I am I pull those shoes off!!!
remove whatever is allowed. :lol

Hey...

I'd weigh in naked if it was allowed
Well done on the loss and keep it up :D

I only lost .2 this week and I'm certain it's because I got a haircut!!!!!!! :)

As long as it's moving down, I'm happy :) :)

What a hoot! This thread sounds just like the members at our WW group! Weigh in at 8:30 am, same clothes each week, line at the bathroom before the weigh-in, everyone takes off shoes/sweaters/watches.....AFTER the weigh in we all eat our 2 point bars and drink our water, never before!

I think it comes down to our need to make sure we did ALL we can to lose each week. Personally, I'm still wearing the same parachute material pants I wore for my first weigh in 74 pounds ago. They're soooo baggy now, but I can't stand to wear anything else because these are almost weightless, and I don't want to "gain" because I was wearing heavier clothes! I look at them more as a good luck charm, and have promised a WW buddy that she can burn them when I reach goal!

Weigh to go, tryin' :)

ALOWERY 04-01-2001 08:21 PM

Hey Annie,
I'm with ya on those parachute pants. Don't be surprised when you get to goal if you can't give them up then either. I got to goal sometime back and have continued weighing in my baggies. :)
Maybe if I would have planned the burning ceremony I could make it work...

Tryin'
Weigh to go. I personally know people who floss, shave their legs, get haircuts, and eliminate underclothes to get a better WI. LOL Do what works and congrats on your fine loss.

This is a great board, thanks for the support! I agree with all of you and laughter is 0 points, if I read the literature correctly.

hhhmmmm.....parachute pants.....i would always weigh in while wearing leggings and a t-shirt and birkinstocks. i did my first weigh in wearing these clunky men's shoes, and went barefoot the next week....i got a huge loss, but it worked against me cuz i felt like i had room to splurge.
i lost 1 pound this past week :-D and what's even better, is that i'm learning how to cook real food (not the tater tot and ramen noodle diet that my roomies subscribe to...which is a pretty common diet for college students...)

congratulations on the weight loss tryin' and others!
