Thanks girls...maybe I will try to count my calories. I know in the past I have not had enough calories and started to actually put on weight because of it, so I will see if that's my problem now. I do eat my ap and fp so that's shouldn't be it. But, I know even if it's not showing it's good for me so I am going to go hard for 3 months and after that if I don't notice anything I will reevaluate what I am doing (as far as diet) and go from there. But I have to give it long enough to really work!!

I appreciate all your help!!!!!!!!

Diana- You are correct I am a golfer... Though since college I haven't played all that much. This year I am looking forward to going again. I played all through High school and college and I just love it so I hope to do a LOT more this summer!!! How cold was it in Canada this morning, we are at -25 (Minneapolis) so I am assuming you guys are really cold!!!

Dewcan,
Wow! What a wonderful weight loss! Sometimes I think our bodies need more fuel to help us lose weight. That happened to me last week too. I ate much more than usual and lost nicely. However, the problem I have is that I want to keep on eating non-stop and that *doesn't* work!

Golfergal,
I have heard of what is happening to you happen to other WW'ers who exercise a lot.
I have never done that, so I don't have personal experience. I would say that you want to double check your point values for food, journal--maybe bring your journal to your WW leader to see if there is a way to improve, eat your activity points since you exercise more than many, and have faith that this program works.

Saskie,
Funny you should mention the food intake on WI day. I used to eat a very light breakfast, maybe two pieces of lite bread, have almost nothing for lunch, and go to my WI at 5:00PM after getting on the treadmill. I also weighed my clothes to find the lightest outfit I could wear. In the new year I decided I was only fooling myself and decided to still wear the lightest outfit to help control variations that could be due to clothing, but I eat normally. I don't eat anything very very salty the night before, but I am trying to have a healthy lifestyle approach to myself.

Good luck to all of us. We're doing great on this challenge. I'm in southern NY and this year we've had snow earlier and longer than I can remember. However, hearing from all you guys up north makes me realize what you have to deal with. Take care and bundle up!
Love,
Judy

Jeez, I had a gain this week.....I know I have not been perfect, but shoot, it wasn't thatout of line either! It was a 2 pound gain, but I know life is not perfect and in the bigger picture, I know how I ate and it was better than I had eaten before I started the WW online thing so I don't let it gete me down, but shoot it would be nice to have a lose......All in all, still down 5.4 lbs LOL, with a long way to go! If I could change anything, it would be to have a less busy week and less out of town trips. Even though I make the best choice I can when I am not in control, still somethimes it is difficult and my contribute to this stall of up and down. I am going to really try to drink more water!

DewCan 01-30-2004 03:38 PM

Golfergirl, it was -28, this morning. This is a bit more normal. That was just a cold spell like I had never seen before. Maybe you should try to eat some of your FP. This week I ate all mine and lost more than I usually do. Weird. Give it a try for a while, if nothing else works.

Thanks Judy, goodluck today :D

Lily, maybe it wa just water or TOM is coming. Don't fret in the end it will all be good. What work do you do that you travel so much?

Ohoh baby is crying, must go

Diana,
We had another day off school too. So I took the day off and moved home a little early- in the middle of a blizzard! It is horrible out there!!! But, I am home now, for good! I haven't followed WW or been to meetings since April, and I was around 162 then. So I just have a little to go, then the rest to lose to get back to goal. I have been quite lazy since the birth of my dd 16 months ago! Mostly I am just happy that I haven't gained in the past 2 weeks, I have not been following the program at all! :dizzy: Congrats on your loss- if it is working eating all your pts, that is great! Lots of people need those pts to feed there pumped up metabolism!
What is GG? :?: :?:
Golfergirl- I don't know a lot about green tea. That must be so frustrating that the numbers are stuck. You will probably end up with a big loss soon! Thats great that you can feel the difference!
Christie- How did the WI go?!?!?! Well, I hope! :D
I am so excited- tomorrow morning I am joining the gym for the first time in almost 2 years!!! Monday is start day for healthy eating and journaling. I feel so good about myself when I eat properly and exercise. I can't wait! :dancing:
What are everyone's plans for the weekend?
I am busy unpacking...MIL is babysitting for a few hours. It is so nice to be home where there is tons of family to babysit whenever I want!!
Have a great evening..

DewCan 01-31-2004 12:08 AM

Tara, I'm glad you're home safe. Nice to be at home, eh? :D I hope you enjoy your firsst day at the gym. Must be nice to have family around that is willing to babysit. I don't feel comfortable asking my inlaws. So I occasionally leave :bb: with my Mom for an hour while I do errands, that would be once a month or so. You'll be at 162 again soon ;) just keep working at it.

Lily, did you drink your water today? Just checking up on you, you can do it :cheer:

Christie, how was the WI?

Goodnight,
Diana

SaskieMom 01-31-2004 10:19 AM

Diana, How old is you baby? Are you mat leave right now? Is the baby a boy or a girl? Mine is a girl, 16 month. Are you a nurse? Thats rough that you can only leave the baby for an hour once a month. How is the weather where you are today?
It says it is 22 here, but I am not sure about with the windchill.
I don't know when I will make it to the gym today- that blizzed left a big mess. On top of that, our furnace quit last night, so dh has to fix it this morning. I really want to go, though, so I am going to try!

Christian 01-31-2004 12:50 PM

Hi guys
Sorry I was MIA again ;) My DH and I have been spending more time together, and he thinks I am on the computer every waking minute  which by the way is true!!
I love it here though and the friends I make online have proven to be some of the best!
Well WI wasnt great...had a half a pound gain...But I will just be sure to eat my flexpoints and count this week, and I am sure it will be gone by the next WI.
Hope you are all having a great weekend and I will be on tonight to check in again

DewCan 01-31-2004 10:45 PM

Tara, not furnace :stress: oh no. I hope it gets fixed before you freeze. Did you go to the gym? I have a little boy who's 8 months old. Yes I'm a nurse and on mat leave. But it's going by fast. I leave my baby on Thursday's when I go to WW, then he stays home with daddy. It was -16 here today, much improved :D And I'm like you, I never know the windchill.

Christie, don't fret. It will be gone by next WI. I know you can do it. Look how far you've come :spin: I haven't eaten within my points today, it's been a junkfood day. DH is home and that's what he wanted.

Have a good weekend.

Diana

golfergirl 02-02-2004 11:50 AM

Well, this morning I awoke to 12 inches of snow...and it's still snowing. My usual 20minute drive to work too 2 hours. Not a good time. I will be excersing tonight unless we have the 16 inches they say we are going to...then I might just go home and stay off the roads...

I worked out my 5 days last week and felt that I did very well! I ate horible yesterday, we had a SuperBowl/Survivor Party and had food gallore. I did have a ton of veggies and dip, but I had Cheetos as well!!! :-( Anyway...

I will make sure I am eating all my points. I journal everyday and try to be extra careful, but I will try even harder this week and see if that makes a difference. It's frusterating, though I know that no matter if I see the scale go down or not I am still getting in shape and exercise is a great thing. Besides I really do like to do it!!

Congrats to all you girls that are on a roll with the weight loss...that alone keeps me motivated!!! Quitting won't get me anywhere so that's not even an option! :-)

SaskieMom 02-02-2004 06:10 PM

Golfergirl- Hope you are staying safe and warm with all that snow!!! Come over to week #4 of the challenge!
