Has anyone purchased either of these two items? They have just reduced them at our meetings and I was wondering what anyone thought of them?

I love the calculator. Better than the old ones they had.
But would not bother with the pedometer. I took it back twice as it wouldnt work. The batteries would not sit correctly in the case, which caused it not to calculate the steps correctly.

Same here

I returned my pedometer. I could not get it to accurately count my steps.

There have been a lot of complaints about the new pedometer on the weight watchers message boards. Apparently there is a bug in the software that causes a lot of them to not work right.

I had two pedometers too. The first one the batteries kept popping out and the second didnt count steps correctly and actually said I had 10 steps just to sit on the toilet. Boy, if that could only be counted as exercise after we drink all of our water, wouldn't that be nice!
The WW lady at corporate, said that they have had LOTS of problems with them and cheerfully refunded my money.
I also tried another brand and had problems with it too.
I just drove the car to check out the mileage, it was much easier! and cheaper!!!

I use the WWW blue calculator for tracking and like it and especially as it is reduced. The pedometer I did not get because I heard so many complaints. My BIL bought me one from Brookstone and it is fine. It gives me a good idea of how I am doing.

Hi Everyone,

Some news on the pedometer. I bought one of the new ones and hated it, it didn't come even close to the ammount of steps I was taking. I went to my meeting last night and tried to return it and they handed me some new directions and asked me to try them before I returned the pedometer. The two big things that made a difference were these, First of all I was wearing it at the front of my body on my waistband, you must wear it on your side, not on the front of your body, BIG DIFFERENCE when I tried that. Also you know the sensitivity setting, well it is not either al the way to the left or right, there are 7 different sensitivity setting in there, just move it a little at a time. Anyway it made a big difference for me and I am keeping mine now.

Anyway, hope this helps some of you.

Brenda
