Any differences in meetings at work v. meetings near home?

  • Again, I'm curious...Have any of you attended both WW meetings at work (or near work) and WW meetings near your home? Did you notice any differences in the meeting "culture"? Did you like one type of meeting better?

I'm thinking of attending a meeting near my office but not at my office.

    Thanks!
  • Maurine,
I noticed you didnt have any responses so I thought I would answer!

Basically there is not a lot of difference between the two meetings. In our area ALL meetings are designed to last 30 minutes. The AT WORK is convenient for many who enjoy a meeting in their workplace. They often eat lunch during the meeting ( after weighing of course! ) Many co-workers enjoy the "challenge" of being WW members together!

I have led both type of meetings and the same info is usually given at both types!

So my answer would be.....join where it is most convenient and comfortable for YOU!

    Hope this helps!

  • Well I agree with cin to the point that the topic is the same. I found the biggest difference to be the people. People you work with tend to be like minded in lifestyle making it easier to relate to what works for them. you also can find someone close to buddy up with and go for a walk with. You relate to the same time constraint and daily environment. I liked the at work much better than the open meetings.

  • Thanks for your replies, CIN and L144S!

L - That is excactly what I was interested in --I wondered if I might relate better to the people at the At Work meetings. I will give both types of meetings a try!
