Last chance before bypass

Hello all,

Well I am going to sign up with ww this weekend. It is my last atempt before I just go and do the bypass. That scares me to death but I have promissed myself (or threatend, depends on how you look at it) That I will give it 6 months and if I dont have success I am going through with the surgery. I have about 130 pounds to lose so wish me luck. I sure hope I can get it together this time.

Thanks, BabySteps

DEar BAby STeps,
Good luck with WW. I know you can do it. Remember the baby steps idea. Think of it as a life style. I think you will find the Flexpoints a wonderful addition to the program. Lots of luck!

You can lose weight and keep it off on WW! It is a long process but if you work the program it will work. I have been on for 11 months and my stats are listed below please give it a real chance! Good Luck!

I believe that you can reach your goals through the WW program. It's a lot less painful than surgery. I recently found a woman's personal web page that has been on WW and has lost 100 lbs. I think the web page would give you a lot of motivation. The website is http://www.aimeesadventures.com/
This is a very motivated young woman and she has made a tremendous life change.

Thanks for the words guys. I did go and start WW this weekend, I am wanting this to work. It is good to see that it can be done, thanks. I think I will hang out with you all once in a while.

Babysteps: Both my mother and I lost over 100lbs and most of it was with WW. I don't know how old you are, but I was 23 at the time and my mom started when she was 50 and reached goal when she was 52! Yes I have strugged with maintanence a bit, but overall I can keep my weight under control. It's worth it to at least give WW or other non-surgical weight-loss stratagies a fair shake before going for WLS (which I am not against, but know overall it often comes with complications). I am glad you're trying this.

Cheers and the best of Luck!!! You are entering a journey where I am sure you'll discover a lot about yourself!

Take care!

Ali
