What does 22 points equal in calories?

My daughter is at the twenty-two point level and she is starving too death. How many calories would the twenty-two points equal? We went over her journal and she is eating appropriately. I think she might be using most of her flex points for when she has supper with her family. She is only a little overweight and is a high energy person, but she quite smoking a few months ago and started putting on weight. I think that she needs more calories. Any suggestions?

Isn't one point the equivalent of 50 cals? If so, then 22 pts is 1100 cals.

However, I will defer to the experts in this matter.

1 point can be from 25 cal - 120 cal depending on fat and fiber. In general you can estimate 1 point at around 50 calories but remember the 22 points does not include the 200-250 calories built into the program for free veggies and freebies.

make sure your daughter is eating enough real fats (margarine, butter, oils, real salad dressings) and enough protein. These take longer to digest and help keep us satisified. Also ensure she fills up on free veggies and her water. ;)

I've been estimating my points as worth 73 calories each (the average of 25 and 120)...is that a good idea?

I know I don't really have to count calories becuase that's what points are for, but I get curious sometimes as to how many calories I actually eat.

On average without fat or fiber factored in 50 is a good choice. The W/W patent formula is based on calories/50

Allright, that makes sense. Thanks.
