WW before points
Dear Folks,
Can anyone help me out? What was the WW program based on selections called? My friend doesn't like the points system (I love it) and is looking for materials and selection numbers for the old system. I figure I can go on eBay and get materials, but I need to have an idea of what the program was called. Thanks in advance. :dizzy: |
Was this posted before?
I remember a website that had the old WW plan on it...sort of a historical look. I tried finding it on google, but had no luck. If your friend wants an exchange based program, you can look at a diet for diabetics. You may also have luck in finding an old ww cookbook in a thrift store that has info on the programs. Between my mom, sister, and myself we have all the ww programs for the past 20 years covered, I think. But of course I can't find any of the info. Heh. |
It was called the selection plan. Very easy to follow. Good luck finding it. If you do, please post.

The program I'm thinking of was called the Freedom Plan. It had the items broken down into Bread, Protein/Milk, Fat, Fruit/Vegetables, Water and Bonus Calories. Hope this helps you. I lost a lot on this program and can't seem to get with the points program. Maybe I'll give this one another try!

selections
I saw this link posted on another board about this. I think it has links to the selections plan. I think some people do better with more structure and instruction and others do better with more flexibility.
I will try this link again ... and again well being new I am obviously doing something wrong, so I will just put the URL in here ok I can't get it right, but if you go to pub11.************/bwwunofficialmessageboard there is a forum labeled exchanges/selections Holly |
Thanks everybody. Lastimeacharm, I think my friend is interested in the freedom plan which seems to have included selections and bonus points. I've done 'em all, but points works best for me.
Good luck to us all. Judy |
I found a book published in 1996 called 365 Days of Menus. It is intended for WW and I am quite sure it is recipes for the Freedom plan which I think was the last plan before points started. The person offering the book says it includes info. about the program so I think I'm all set.
Good luck everyone. |
Quick Start was my favorite old plan!
That was the name. Cin Freedom Plan & Selection plan were names too;) |
Any one interested in the old ww exchange programs might like Richard Simmon's diet its very similar.

The following should be just what you need, including "Smart Start" and the Selection plan.
