First post here!

Hi everyone!

My name is Marie and I am a stroke survivor....TWICE! Before my first stroke in 2012, I used WW and got down to 145, losing approx 24lbs. Unfortunately, after my first stroke, the only thing that seemed to work great were my taste-buds, and I used them A LOT!

Got up to 196 and felt horrible. Finally got to where I was feeling great again. Got a great job and was ready to start again. Then, two weeks ago, I had a TIA. Luckily, no residual problems from this one.

Sooooo, I'm deciding to not wait, and just go for it. I'll start slow back to work, and with exercise, but will try hard to eat properly.

Because of medical bills, and also because I know the general basics of WW, I am wondering if any of you can answer a question?

If I order the Beyond the Scale Plan guide, will this booklet give me the basics of the new program? WW won't let my husband drive me over and just purchase one. I have to pay the reg fee and first time visit fee ($51) here is AZ.

So, what do you think? If I can order (on Ebay) a copy of this book, does it give me enough info to start the program?

Thanks in advance!

You can't just do it from a book. You need a calculator. In my area the calculator costs $9.95 at meetings. The calculator will tell you how many points you get and will calculate for you how many SmartPoints each food is.
