Way to go!! :carrot:

Thanks Dixiemom! I'm definitely excited. I like seeing the progress on the scale cause I can't see it in the mirror yet. When I get down to my mini-goal I'm going to try on the bridesmaid's dress I wore for my sister's wedding and see if it maybe fits a little better. It's the pretty purple one I'm in for the picture that's on my profile.. and it's a bit tight. You can see me muffining over the the top. I'm hoping it'll fit better when I've lost nearly 15lbs since I last wore it.. even if it's just the tiniest bit better.

It is kinda neat that since I wore that dress right around when I started my goal I can use it as a visual for how much I've lost.

Oh, and another slight win. My pants fit without being all tight after the wash now. Usually they're a lot tighter right out of the wash and then after wearing them for a little while they start to feel comfortable again. This time they fit right away!

Hi girls! I went to my first meeting after joining WW and down 5.2 lbs. I ended up spraining my knee on Tuesday when I was out walking but it is slowly getting better. It still is swollen but much better and really enjoying the ease of the plan versus counting calories and macronutrients.

Piping in on the October Chat as well. :-)
Well, I have a bit of a cold at the moment and thus feel quite crappy. I have been drinking NeoCitran (something like Lemsip I believe?), which helps with the cold, but I'm not so sure how it ties in with points or if I should even count it. Besides, having felt so blah yesterday, we've ordered dinner instead of cooking ourselves. I had an Indian Veggie Curry, which I figured wasn't that bad. Plus, I still had plenty of weekly extra points left.
Did my Weigh-In this morning and I lost half a kilo (approx. 1 pound) since last week.
At first I was a bit disappointed, but considering the Extras I had last week and imagining the amount I've lost in the form of butter really helped to not be disappointed anymore. :)

That's awesome Jayne. I know I mentioned it in the other thread, but I hope your knee gets better soon. It really is best to keep off it for the most part until it's healed. So listen to your doctor (I learned that the hard way many years ago).

Tanyanka, welcome to the chat thread. Grats on your 1lb loss. That's about what I average. Sometimes it gets hard seeing other people post bigger losses and all, but then I remind myself that slow and steady is still a loss.. and look at the progress I have actually made week by week. I have everything all mapped out in excel sheets and graphs. Hope your cold gets better. Seems to be going around.

So today I was down 1.2lbs, which is good but on Friday I was down 3. So the weekend was bad but I will take the loss.

SoMuchFattitude 10-28-2014 11:34 AM

Congrats to everyone on their losses! I found what y'all lost this week! LOL I gained 1.8lbs, but am taking it with stride since I didn't go over on my points. I'm blaming the fertility drugs at this point!

TheLunchLady 10-28-2014 12:05 PM

I know I'm way fashionbly late here considering October is almost over... but I just wanted to share I lost 1 lb this week. Not bad considering I had a small fling with some chocolate chip cookies earlier in the week (we just moved & got our oven installed, so I had to try it out to make sure it was chocolate chip cookie worthy). So, that makes a total of 4.2 lbs in 2 weeks. Woohoo!

Sidenote to SoMuch - I subscribed to your blog... your last post had me roaring with laughter (particularly the pictures). My stepmom also did the shot in the butt and I remember her saying how horrible it was. I'm hoping it works for you!!!

sunarie 10-28-2014 01:50 PM

Congrats on the loss Dixiemom and Lunchlady!

SoMuchFattitude - Welcome back, glad to hear you're taking that small gain in stride. Fertility drugs can wreak havoc on the body. I agree with TheLunchLady.. your recent blog post was hilarious. Also, happy belated birthday :D

SoMuchFattitude 10-30-2014 07:09 AM

Awww - thanks for reading, ladies. <3 These fertility drugs SUCK. I look like a 12 yr old hitting puberty with how badly my skin has broken out. Lord almighty.

They've also left me rather...ravenous. I haven't really been tracking this week. It's been bad. Ugh. I just feel like a bottomless pit. I am actually really glad we're going to take a couple of months off from trying if we aren't pregnant this month so I can get all these crazy hormones out of my system...

sunarie 10-30-2014 01:38 PM

I'm gonna hope you get a baby the first go around so that you don't have to go through another fertility treatment.

Weigh-ins for a few of the challenges I'm participating in were today. I'm at 234.6. That'd down .8lbs from last week's weigh in. Very close to 2/3rds of the way to my first mini-goal, yay!

TheLunchLady 10-31-2014 10:46 AM

Congrats sunarie! Do you have any special rewards set up for yourself when you get to your first mini-goal?

sunarie 10-31-2014 12:55 PM

My boyfriend is gonna give me an extra special massage :)

I'm also gonna take some progress pictures. Not looking forward to those as much cause I still don't actually see any weight loss. I should probably buy some measuring tape. I have heard at higher weights though, it takes more weight to make a noticeable difference.

TheLunchLady 10-31-2014 03:12 PM

A massage sounds awesome!

Definitely buy a measuring tape, and keep track of your measurements because a lot of times if you aren't losing on the scale, you will notice in your measurements. Of coursre pictures help, too! It can be motivating to look back and see your progress.

To make a noticeable difference... I think it depends on your build. I'm pretty tall (5'8" ish) and it usually takes atleast 10-15 lbs before people notice on me just because of how my weight is distributed. I think it also depends on where you lose your weight first. Don't worry - you will be getting compliments soon enough!

sunarie 11-02-2014 06:56 PM

Yeah.. I'm fairly short. I think some of my shirts may be fitting a tiny bit looser, but not much, and it could be my imagination. I'm not gonna knock it though!

I had my halloween binge yesterday. Didn't even track points. Went to a party, had drinks, ate pizza (4 slices total over the day).. and of course candy.. think I ate a total of 6-8 fun sized candy bars. Back on plan today, got the holiday feast out of my system!
