First week = Success

A little about me...Jackie 33, married with 1 kid.

This will be my 3rd time turning to weight watchers for weight loss. ;) The first time was back in 2005, second time was after a divorce in 2007. Then I kept most of the weight I wanted to lose off. Got married in 2011 and in 2012 I became pregnant. Now I have a wonderful son and 30 lbs of left over baby weight. I gained 70lbs when pregnant so it's really no surprise.

I started WW online this time because I do not have the time to go to meetings with the baby. I decided I would do my best and if I was hungry I will eat and will eat my weekly pts and any activity points. I had 11 weekly points left at the end of the week and gained 8 activity points which I also ate. I was actually kind of scared to eat so much, but they say you can so I did, and I made sure they were all healthy choices.

When I stepped on the scale this morning I expected to be the same weight because of all the points I ate, but I lost 2.6lbs! I don't expect the same level of loss next week, but I am really happy. I did feel hungry, but I always do when I'm on a diet. All I do is think of food, but I didn't feel deprived. In any case I just wanted to share my good news because I am so excited!

I've always thought about joining WW, just didn't have the nerve to go to meetings, maybe I"ll check out the WW online site. Congratulations on your weight loss! :) I think lots of folks think you need to starve to lose, it's just not so :) I remember seeing a dietitian back in 2006 and she gave me an eating plan to follow and I remember thinking, OMG...too much food...but it added up to 1800 cals a day.
