Default How seriously do you take WW's scoldings?

SO this is three weeks in a row now I've lost 4 pounds, and while I'm THRILLED I hate those warnings you get online about "you are losing too fast... slow down your weight loss".

Here's the thing.. I don't WANT to slow down. I'm eating all my daily points and most of my weeklies... in fact, last week I also ate 11 activity points. I'm getting my fruits and veggies in (thanks Bountiful Baskets!) and eating whole grains and drinking water and exercising and doing it all right.. I don't want to be scolded!

Do you take them seriously at all? If I'm eating right and exercising and feeling great, is it really that much of a crime to lose 4 pounds a week?

I didn't, but I never saw those numbers... Every once in a while I'd have a 3lb loss, and just kind of ignored the warning.

I lost relatively quickly (2lbs some weeks, 3-4 others) from 279 until 250/240 and then it slowed to 1.5-2lbs/week. I ignored the warnings. If it kept happening, I didn't feel well, I wasn't following the plan, etc, then I might have been concerned.

This might just be me, but I say hey, enjoy it while it lasts! You're doing everything right.

I lost quickly in the beginning but after a month and a half I started losing 2 pounds a week non stop. I don't know when you started but this is normal for someone who just began Enjoy it while it lasts.

I started getting those warnings too around your weight. I think as long as you're eating your daily points you're fine.

You're fine as long as you're eating your points, and not nutritionally depriving yourself. I lose 5.4 lbs in one week and talked to my WW leader face to face and she simply said that sometimes it happens. As long as I wasn't depriving myself, or unsafely exercising it was ok.

Like others have mentioned, it won't last long. Eventually the body will stabilize and most people don't see those huge losses (or at least I haven't) when I finally got into the routine of the program.

I'm a big believer in listening to your body. If sometimes tells you its wrong: like you feel fatigued or dizzy then it probably is. If you feel fine, you're eating and doing what you're supposed to then I don't really think it's alarming.
