Hello everyone! Today is my day off and I have been LAZY!! I did do 25 minutes on my elliptical, a ton of squats, and some weights. But after that it's been hanging out on the computer and chatting with the hubby. I am going to pry myself up in a bit and get some dusting and ironing done. We are grilling burgers and skewers of zucchini and onions tonight. Can't wait!
Thanks for the link SMF, I will definitely look into getting the app. :) Way to go on the awesome weight loss Geekmadre and movielover!!:cp::cp: Mrs. D, you are a better woman than I. The very thought of being around deep dish peach pie just made me gain weight. :D Have I mentioned that I'm loving Weight Watchers. Kind of annoyed that it took me so stinking long to join and very proud that I finally did. ;) |

Yay, NSVs I have also mastered staying within my 27 points the past couple of days without being hungry.
Some struggles though: upper right abdominal pain is interfering with my workouts (though I am still doing what I can)...and I have an out-of-town weekend for mother's day that might result in me going over my points. Starting Monday: back on track. And I will try to control my eating this weekend- probably a good idea anyway since the pain might be related to gallbladder (and therefore affected by fat in food) Congrats on the loss, movielover and geekmadre! 45 miles of biking, somuchfattitude...wow!! Talk about kicking some butt! |
Straight ahead- that is awesome! I love fitting into smaller sized clothes.
We are going away for the weekend and will be eating out all weekend. Hopefully I can make good choices and stick to plan as best possible. Luckily it is a family weekend so no alcohol will be involved so that will help with keeping the points down. |

The non-scale victories are so important for keeping us on track, straightahead! As for me....I'm giving in. After 34 days on WW (this time around) I'm having a cheat day. I'm still tracking, but I'm not worrying about staying within points range. My husband took me out for mother's day. I didn't eat breakfast because we were planning on going to a restaurant that serves breakfast until 2pm. Well, their wait was way too long, so we drove around and stopped when we were really hungry. I had baked pollock, french fries and coleslaw. I had some chips for a snack. For dinner we're having grilled steak, potatoes and salad. And for dessert I'm having an ice cream sundae, so there! LOL I might regret it tomorrow, but you need to live once in a while. |
Happy Mother's Day!! :)
Mrs. D, I don't think you should call it a cheat day. It's a planned day of eating certain foods for a special occasion. Now, if you eat ice cream sundaes the rest of the week, you might have a problem with cheating. ;) I am a little stressed (okay a lot stressed) today. My husband and I had planned on taking my vacation in early June to go to Illinois to see his mother. She is almost a 101 years old and has been on hospice care for about 3 months. At first they were giving her until the end of summer or early fall to pass, but her hospice nurse told my hubby he best get out there ASAP if he wants to see her either alive or conscious. She is now on morphine three times a day and more if she wants it.:( We are not sure if my husband will come back in a few days or if he will stay out there for the duration. I can't come with him right now because there are too many other people taking vacations this month and I work straight commission and that being away for too long would really hurt me. I will fly out when she passes. I'm just hoping I don't have to fly alone because I have NEVER flown before and I'm afraid of the great unknown. :?: I'm also a little worried about sticking to my WW plan. In the past I have way overeaten when he has been gone. I was down this morning so I hope to use that to propel my motivation and be good! Thanks for listening. |

Congrats to all who had a huge loss this week! Awesome! :carrot: I wish I had huge weight loss too every week. If only I would just stay focused! ;)
Its that TOM so I gained 0.2 lbs. What's new right? :D Nothing much happening today. Here at work and not that busy. Oh Happy mother's day to all the mommies here. Enjoy your day ladies. |
Teresa--You have us! We can't fly with you, but we're here for you while your husband is away. I'm so sorry about your MIL. But 101 is a long life. My mom died when she was 57.
Yesterday I stayed within points, but I really wanted to binge. I weighed this morning, unofficially, and I am down from last week so that is motivation to keep going. Tomorrow is my official WI, so I only need to get through one more day! Tomorrow I will have my weeklies back! |
Ahhhhh thank you Mrs. D. I really appreciate this group and your kindness means so much. I did have a bit of a splurge with some Chinese takeout, but today is right back on plan. I allowed the splurge because due to my work schudule this week I won't be able to weigh-in until Thursday instead of Tuesday. Good justification huh? ;)

Teresa: Drink a TONS of water. There is so much sodium in Chinese that even if you don't actually gain weight, but you eat out, you carry around water weight from the sodium. I once ate Chinese the night before WI, what a mistake!

Hope everyone is doing great!
I am in an eating blah....I don't think gaining, but I don't think losing! |
Man. One of the pharmacist's that was supposed to do our away site training had an emergency appendectomy on Saturday.
That means that (as the only kidless pharmacist) I was chosen to be her replacement. Which I don't mind at all, really. It's something different to do and I have friends where I am (unfortunately not someplace really cool, just a couple hours away). We get a per diem so I can get food from the grocery to eat while I'm away, but there is no fridge/microwave in the hotel they're putting us up in. So I'm definitely feeling a lot of salt from the lunch/dinner I've being provided. At least I can manage some fruit and almonds for decent snacks. I miss my really well planned pantry and kitchen. Two more days! |
Ughhhh. Saturday was my little sisters graduation and I ate like a fool. I am up 4 lbs. Is that even possible? Did going to a pizza parlor and having pizza and a fried app sampler really cause me to rocket up 4 whole pounds? Insane.
It is TOM, too. I am hoping its water and or salt and will come right off. But jeez, this is insanity. |
