Can you help?
My college friends want to get together for lunch. And while I've grown apart from them, I'd like to appease them and go. They've picked a restaurant that does not have nutritional facts, even though I requested it.
These are some of the choices that sound appealing and are lower cost. Can you all help me figure out the points? Vermont Panini Pineland cheddar, sliced green apple, roast turkey, bacon, IPA honey mustard, grilled Italian bread. Veggie Quesadilla Zucchini, broccoli, onions, red peppers, scallions, tomatoes, monterey jack (There is an option to add grilled chicken, which I would probably do). I'd eat it with salsa, so no added points. Harvest Salad Mixed greens, dried cranberries, pecans, bleu cheese, sliced apples, grilled chicken, cider vinaigrette. (I'd ask for the cranberries, pecans, bleu cheese and vinaigrette on the side) Baked Haddock Sandwich 532 cal. (WHY have calories for some dishes and not all??) Fresh baked haddock, bread crumbs, lettuce, tomato, tartar sauce, kaiser roll. (I was thinking maybe eating this without the roll, tartar sauce on the side, ask for light bread crumbs, give my husband the fries or ask them not to bring them out at all and do a side salad, no extras, just veggies, dressing on the side) Thoughts? ETA: One of the locations had a notice that nutritional information is available upon request. I sent an email, so we shall see! |
How fun! :)
The quesidilla would get my first vote as you can work it to your needs, the second would be the salad. I feel like the other two have some potential red flags. Enjoy!! :) |
Salad. No brainer and I'm not WW! Don't eat the chicken if you want belt and braces.
|
I'm not sure I understand "belt and braces". And I can eat anything I want on WW as long as it fits into my points allowance.
I'm iffy on the salad because I have been eating my Vit. K at dinner. (On Warfarin) |

So I meant that, if you are in some doubt, the calories without the chicken in the salad will be a lot lower based on my experience with Caesar salads, for example. The salad as-is is the belt (likely to be low cal). Removing the chicken is the braces/suspenders (will surely be low cal). |
I'm waiting for them to email me the nutritional info.

Not a good thread to read when I'm hungry.:D

Hahaha! Don't read the Daily Tracker thread! LOL

Where are you going? I'd love to look over the menu. With what you said,
"Baked Haddock Sandwich 532 cal. (WHY have calories for some dishes and not all??) Fresh baked haddock, bread crumbs, lettuce, tomato, tartar sauce, kaiser roll. (I was thinking maybe eating this without the roll, tartar sauce on the side, ask for light bread crumbs, give my husband the fries or ask them not to bring them out at all and do a side salad, no extras, just veggies, dressing on the side) " I'd get this, but order it as such: Baked Haddock Sandwich, but could you please blacken and grill the haddock instead? No roll, tarter sauce on the side and a side salad - dressing on the side. My rough guess would be 7-10ish points, depending on your dressing. It's probably a 5oz serving of haddock and depending on your salad dressing/amount of tarter sauce you could be upward of 5 points. I typically eat a 7-10ish point lunch. I'd stay far away from the quesodilla - you have no control over the amount of cheese they use, oil or how they prepare the veggies for the inside. The salad seems like a good choice but the points QUICKLY add up with salads. |
Yum! Making me hungry too, I have dinner with friends in a little while as well, wish we could go early! haha Sounds like a good plan that somuchfattitude posted :)
