Changing point allowance

Have any of you gone in and changed the allowed points for each day? Its in the settings if you use etools. I know its not best practice, but I am kind of interested to see what 2 points less a week would do. I would really like to see my average loss a week go from 1-1.5lbs to 2-2.5 lbs. It is still a healthy rate of loss, just not what my point value set by WW is giving me.

It is more of a calorie counting article, but still neat. Has weight loss and gain explained in a tidy little equation. http://voices.yahoo.com/simple-math-...217.html?cat=5

Nah. I don't mess with the points. I'm in no hurry to eat less or to lose more weight every week. I'm happy with my pace.

I looked at it but think it is best to just stick to the plan the way it is. If we knew how to do this on our own without weight watchers we would have already without paying all this money.

Honestly, I wouldn't. Do you use any of your weekly points? If so, use less like half or none at all instead of lowering your daily point allowance? Just a thought.

WW advocates healthy weight loss at .5-2 lbs. a week. Anything more than that without constant doctor's supervision can do more harm than good.
Personally, I would stay where you are and enjoy those points while you have them. WW is about learing how to make small, sustainable lifestyle changes not only to lose the weight, but to keep it off. That's why you have a daily points plus target that may gradually decrease. (I say may because a lot of people start at 26 and that is the least amount you can ever have.)

Not me. My points are dwindling and I'ma eat them while I have them!

I wouldn't do it. Several people at my last meeting (me included) finally showed a nice loss rather than maintaining or even gaining the last couple weeks. The leader asked us all what we did differently and to a person we all said we ate more. So lowering the amount you eat may actually backfire, especially if you're already losing steadily at your current point amount.
