Weigh meat raw or cooked?
Hmmmm. I use the nutrition label on the bag of my boneless, skinless chicken tenders and it says 1 serving is 4oz...is that 4oz raw or 4oz cooked?? I did it cooked tonight but I don't know if that is right because it seemed like a lot of chicken. Also what about dry pasta, rice, etc....dry or cooked?

I usually weigh raw...

I wonder about this all the time! I cooked with Dreamfields penne the other night but the WW tracker only recognized uncooked.... But I weight after it was cooked (my fault, but still!)

Yep, always raw/uncooked.

I've noticed some of the items in the tracker specifically say "cooked." Pork chops is an example. I've been counting raw weight if it says raw/uncooked but cooked weight for things like the pork chops I referred to (pork, chop, cooked, lean, without bone).

I actually asked my WW leader. It's essentially a point an ounce for cooked chicken. She said you get a little more than an ounce when it's raw. Also - more for dark meat.
4oz of raw would probably cook down to about 3oz. So, it'd prob be 3pts/4oz of raw or 3oz. cooked. |
