WW MM CHALLENGE! November & December - Week 4!

  • Welcome to WEEK 4 of the November & December WW MM CHALLENGE!

    Here's the Spreadsheet Link! We're on Week 4 - 11/19/2012.

    Give us your updates!

A lot of people in the US have Thanksgiving to work around this week. What are your plans for staying on track?
  • ugh the only update I can do is say that I am the cook this year....so I get to control the food choices! yeah haw....besides the traditional turkey, I have a ham (skip that for me) mashed potatos (I control the butter), gravy (not), steamed green beans (yeah), rolls (maybe one), corn (nope), salad (oh yeah), and the appetizers...maybe a bite or too but will be busy 'cooking'...maybe a glass of wine
  • I had my T-Day with my whole family on Sunday - I did not go back for seconds, and I didn't bring home any leftovers. I weighed this morning and was down .2 from Saturday, so I'm happy! Thursday's regular Thanksgiving will just be myself, husband and son. We're going to grill fish and vegetables, and our big splurge will be BREAD.
  • Oh, this was a terrible diet week (2 weeks actually). Ate too much, I'm completely dissatisfied with myself and can't find the strength to continue with dieting... Like, I try and eat healthy till around 6pm, then it's just downhill after that! Sooo frustrating! I didn't even go to WW this week, too scared of the scale.
Hope I get back on track soon, cause I really don't want to get more weight back than I already have.

    GRRRRRRRRRRR.

On the other hand, congrats to the people who are succeeding!
  • Mari - Someone told me (right before I fell off the wagon this summer) to avoid "stepping away", "Taking a break", etc. She said that people usually don't come back. I (of course) thought that didn't apply to me... and (of course) it did. As discouraged as you are right now, I encourage you to "Fake it till you Make it" - just track that food like a WW pro, even if you're scared and feel like a loser. I guarantee you that feeling in control is worth it.

Thanks, heidi! You really helped me! Yesterday after I read your answer I went for a 7Km bike ride (around 4.3mi) and then to buy my "yummy" food at the market. I needed that "if you take a break" talk, cause that happened so many times already, I just needed someone to remind me that (YOU! ). Oh, and had a little visit yesterday also, so I guess most of it was the PMS talking... :P

I was faking since Monday, but now i'm not anymore! I want to do it now, I'm excited to do it!

    Thanks, again!

And let's bring the next weigh in!! Woohoo (only on friday for me, though... lol)

  • Yay Mari! So glad... geez don't we all need that encouragement so often. I love how you went back into the game with a fun attitude - biking and shopping for good food!

    Proud of ya girl!
    - H
  • Gotta be loud, or else the chocolate is louder! hahaha
  • Mari - Like.
  • ok still up overall by 1.0 but I am working on it. Tomorrow I have my food planned and am ok with my choices. I am also going to do my weight training in the am before I have to start the marathon cooking. Did most of my prep today so all is good. Should be a relaxed day with family

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving is you are celebrating
  • Maintained again this week. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
