Goals

I set some goals but it seems like it will take forever. Have any of you set goals and if so give me some ideas.....Please! Thanks a lot! Have a wonderful week!:)

I'm not setting any more goals. I didn't in the beginning and I lost weight without much effort, like the majority. Now, my leader wanted us to make a goal, so I did, and it was a realistic goal, but I DIDN"T ACHIEVE IT. I'm at a plateau and shouldn't of made that goal. Now my attitude is, that if I work hard and stay on tack the weight will come off, eventually.

I guess my goal is to continue to eat healthy, continue to exercise, journal and take the loss when I can.

"I guess my goal is to continue to eat healthy, continue to exercise, journal and take the loss when I can." (Caledon)

I agree with that! :D And I would add . . . "KEEP OFF what I've already lost".

I actually do set a goal for each month, but I make it a 3-pound range rather than an exact amount. I have lost most of what I need to lose, so the losses are very slow for me now . . . setting a three-pound range seems to make it a bit easier for me.

I generally feel that if I set a goal for myself, it always backfires.
I have a wedding to go to on 5/24-30 days from today. I have the same dress in 2 sizes, and would love to wear the smaller one, but will have to wear the larger one if I don't lose some weight! The pressure seems to great, and I usually don't do well under that kind of pressure.
I have decided to do the very best I can, and when the day comes, I will wear the dress that fits the best! That seems to be a reasonable goal.
I have tried to say that I would lose X amount of pounds by a certain date, but when that doesn't happen, I go haywire and go WAYYYY off program.
I'm trying to have a different focus now.
