Hey guys, have you noticed, or is it just me, When I try to eat a big meal (with my banked points, of course), I get so full so much faster. I can't believe it! Maybe that's what thin people feel all the time????

Kelly (There seem to be a lot of Kellys, isn't there?)

yeah!!!! I was so happy yesterday I had a huge bank, so I loaded up the plate to about 16 points but it was lite hot dogs and boca burgers with lite rolls and I had to leave some. I even had one extra untouched boca on my plate!! I was in shock. Before dieting I would have eaten even more at a BBQ :)

My husband is British and thin. Last time I was in England with him I noticed all of his family is thin, and the only one who was cleaning her plate was me! When his parents came to America two years ago we took them out to eat and when the waitress brought the plates they only wanted to both eat from one, and bring the other back. They can't get over the size of the meals we have here.

I'm not sure what full means. I know stuffed.. but full I'm going to have to think about.

I still have the college student mentality when it comes to food...if it's free, I'll eat a lot of it. Especially if it's special treats we don't normally have. mmmm. biscotti....mmmmmm

I think eating slow is important. My bf takes forever to eat, while my cousin wolfs stuff down in minutes. I know that genetics plays a big role, but eating speed definitely matters.

And randomly, my house is still on the same bag of tortilla chips from December. Heh.

My husband is thin. I outweigh him by about 5 pounds. It used to be more. He is 5'9" tall and weighs 145 pounds. I have never seen another human eat the stuff he does and still stay thin. Until we met, I'd had my weight under control for over a year...I was slightly below goal. After he moved in, I gained 25 pounds in a year. He buys chocolate bars by the box at Costco and keeps a few in his night table drawer. He has a sweet tooth like there's no tomorrow. After dinner, he will scoop up a huge bowl of ice cream then put whipping cream over the whole mess. Then he'll have a bowl of potato chips in bed, then an hour later go down and make a peanut butter sandwich. It's truly amazing. The thing I've found hardest to adjust to is not having total control over what gets brought into the house. Before him, I NEVER had junk in the house. It was just too tempting.

He HAS been extremely supportive of me doing this though and now keeps all of his stash in the garage and out of my sight. We rarely eat the same meals for dinner because he's a real meat and potatoes kind of guy and I like vegetarian stuff, spicy stuff, almost anything a little different. He has not complained about doing most of his own cooking though and is always telling me how proud he is that I am doing this.

One thing I have noticed about his eating though....when he has potato chips, he has a small bowl and that's it. With me, it's the whole bag or why bother? I am gradually losing that all or nothing mentality though. I just wish the jelly beans in the garage would quit calling my name. LOL
