Back on the wagon

Hi all! I been on and off weight watchers for about 6 yrs now and finally decided to go back to a meeting today. I lost about 72 lbs the first time around and stopped doing it and gained it back. I tried to do it on and off and in between all the attempts lost about 30 and seemed to stop there. I don't want to say that "oh this time I'm gonna do it" or "I'm ready now" only because these phrases usually didn't hold true to my word. I just want to say that I'm going to give it another try and just take it day by day. I'm one of those type of perfectionist dieters and if I make one mistake then its all downhill from there. I want to change this type of mentality....so with that being said hello  and hope to get to know my fellow ww's on this forum!

You can do it!! I have been there, it's tough, but can be done. Keep us updated on your progress.

Hello and welcome back!! :)

Taking it day by day is a great idea. Not easy to change a old mentality but it can be done!

I'm repeat gainer as well. My first time on WW, but I have lost and gained twice before. I'm determined to not repeat the pattern this time. Welcome back!

Great job! You will do great. I too am one of those all or nothing dieters. This time around I have really learned self control, and you will too! That self control is what lets us live life and eat healthy forever.

One Day at a time

My mantra is one day at a time- if I start thinking too far ahead, I get overwhelmed and mess up. I also make it a rule to track every point, no matter how far over I go- owning it seems to make it feel like less of a screwup and easier to just get on w the day. I have gone up and down on ww for years- this is the first time I have really kept off my loss.

I think you are wise to keep your objectives modest and manageable- good luck- I am rooting for you!

Hello and welcome! I so know what you mean, I too am a "perfection dieter". This time around has been a little bit different for me though. I have had many screw ups, however I've just kept pushing forward. I know that weight will always be struggle for me, so as long as I take things one day at a time, that's all that matters. Good luck to you! :)

Thank you so much...it's great to know that I'm not alone! I lost 1.6 lbs my first w/i and I was a little down because I'm so use to losing 5 lbs the first week but I know that any loss is a loss. Here's to another week of losing!!
