I just responded to a thread that you wrote asking about the smoothies... do you see the connection? :) I'd say maybe try putting less fruit in the smoothies, like a cup, total. If it's not enough, maybe try throwing in a cup of veggies instead, like carrots or even spinach. And track it with the number of points that the recipe builder gives you.

Read you materials. WW plan is based on 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. You are eating hundreds of calories in all that fruit way too much. I count anything over 3 veggie and 2 fruit servings.

Thats what I don't like about WW... it's not really a good idea in my humble opinion to call something "free". Based on the serving sizes you listed in your post, I looked up all the values to the best of my ability (using average sizes for the melon and banana, etc.) and it came out to 423 calories. When you're dieting, that many calories is hardly negligible. Given that they say that a 500 calorie deficit is what a person should aim for each day, it's no wonder you didn't lose. Your deficit was taken over by fruit! |
My leader actually suggested that if we weren't losing weight to cut back to nomore then 4 cups of fruit-which is still 4 servings, then add or subtract until we found the right amount of fruit for our bodies.
Congrats on your weight loss. |
I think on fruit 1/2 cup is a serving so 4 servings is only 2 cups.

:o oops, yes, you're right fruit servings are 1/2 a cup and 4 servings are 2 cups. Thanks for catching that.
