Question for those that go to meetings....
 

Do they sell the cookbooks at meetings not held at WW centers? I looked up meetings in my area and there are a couple locations but not at a WW center. There are absolutely NO centers anywhere near me.

I really want a couple cookbooks but I refuse to pay the price of the book plus shipping to order them off the site.

They should sell the cookbooks at the other WW locations. Don't fret if you show up and the cookbook you want isn't there, though. My center has been known to sell out of cookbooks pretty frequently. Just ask if they are expecting more to come in!

A lot of cookbooks, not just WW's, are sold on Amazon. If you sign up for Amazon Mom, (regardless of Mom status) you can take advantage of their free Prime shipping i.e. free two-day shipping on lots of items.

@Keli, I dont have any WW locations in my area....only local home grown meetings at churches and the like listed on the site.

I have checked amazon, but they severely jack up the price of the books. For example, 9.95 from WW is jacked up to 21+...at least the books I've come across.

We are in a center now, but we started out in the basement of a church and we still offered the cookbooks there. Traveler locations (places that are not set WW centers) typically offer the same stock as WW centers, but sometimes in smaller quantities. We still have a few locations that are travelers (churches, community rooms, and the like) and they still carry all of the same items that the centers do.

I live in a very small town and at our meetings, they don't sell the cookbooks and there isn't a WW center anywhere nearby for 4-5 hours. I have been able to find WW cook books at Target, Barnes and Nobles, Hastings and online on Amazon. :)

Even when I was a weight watcher's member attending the meetings, I usually didn't buy the cookbooks sold at the meetings (because they were sold at full retail value or at only a small discount).

Instead if I saw a cookbook I wanted, I wrote down the title and searched for it on amazon.com, usually finding it and a dozen others at a substantial discount (even calculating in shipping and handling costs).

I'd buy it from the cheapest source with a decent feedback rating, paying attention to the condition claimed for the book (and always assuming that the condition was actually one level lower than claimed).

I've always been happy with my purchases on amazon, and get to usually buy three or more books for the price of one. I never pay full retail for books anymore.

My meeting is at a YMCA so I assume that isn't a center. They sell all the cookbooks etc

Many of the WW cookbooks are only sold in meetings, not on Amazon.

Amazon will be cheaper, even WW online might sell them cheaper.

A lot of people take advantage of that fact and sell the meetings-only books at a profit on Amazon.

I recently got Best Darn Food Ever when I was at a meeting (both recipes I've tried so far have been huge hits with the hubby btw), and I think I paid... $9.95 for it? I looked for it on Amazon out of curiosity, and a bunch of people are selling them on Amazon for between $25 and $35. Slightly less on Ebay ($15+)

I buy all of my cookbooks (including WW) from used book stores, like Half Price Books. Amazon and Ebay are my go to places as well.

You will be able to get anything you need even if its not at a center! Just ask the leader and if she dont have it she can get it!' Good luck
