Banking Points
I have recently re-started my WW diet. (It took me two years of really working hard at it to put 30 lbs back on!) I cannot remember the exact details regarding banking points. Is this based on the low number or high number? For instance, if I want to bank 5 points, do I need to keep other days less than 23 or less than 18? I think I remember something about not being allowed to bank more than 10, and that they had to be used within the week. Thanks!

It goes from the high number. Your range is 5 points, so if you don;t eat your entire range, you get to bank those extra points. Example: say your range is 22-27. If you eat 25 points one day, you get to bank 2 points (27-25=2). The maximum food points you can bank in one day is 5. If you eat less than 22 (which you shouldn't do!), you only get to bank 5 points (If you had 18 pts, you can't bank 9 pts [27-18], only 5).
You are allowed to use up to 10 banked points in one day. Any banked points you have at the end of the week are gone. However, if you use a rolling banked system, each day's banked points are good for 7 days (not an official WW policy). HTH! |
Welcome back and good luck. You must eat at least your minimum amount of points. So if 18 is the low end, then eat up to the 18 and bank the 5 to 23. If you don't eat the minimum your body will hold on to the fat stored in your body for nutrition. You can use up to 10 banked points on any day and yes, sadly :(, banked points expire at the end of your week. Hope this helps.
